So I was reported recently due to being disconnected even after 5 minutes into game. My team reported me for this reason and this reason only, however it affected our team not the least as our team could've easily resolved me being gone. As being away for 5 minutes, you can tell I probably would need to catch up. I was against a Riven who had a significant amount of cs higher than me, and I was able to successfully hold against her for a long time. One team fight came up where our team was 4v5 and gave Riven a kill, which later my team blamed me for not being there. Should it be our team's fault we engage in a teamfight as 4 and not defend instead, as I was behind? When we were 4v5, our jg couldve easily compensated for top lane and our team stayed safe until I was back. Even though I was reported, can someone please tell me if this would be a bannable offense?

If its once in awhile that you actually go afk like I mean very rarely, then its unlikely you will get banned for going afk, and I mean like once in awhile maybe a few times a year or every few months depending how much you play.

But yes in general intentionally Rage Quitting, or going AFK a lot for any reason will get you banned, and its not nice to leave the game a 4v5.

Honestly players should at least be respectful and understanding that sometimes a player doesn't mean to intentionally leave the game in Real Life something happens a power outage, RL emergency like actual emergency not someones parents calling them its understandable in these type of cases, the other players shouldn't be flaming on you because of it, or you could report them yourself.
