How do I deal with Poppy?

Take ignite and play a champ with true damage. True damage Denys her passive.

Watch your positioning on walls. if she gets that headbutt stun, you're in trouble. Her burst speed makes her sticky when finishing you off. honestly, if you can keep her from that, and then get off a lot of small poke to negate her passive, she should be forced to play afraid of you.

You don't really. She is one of the only assassins that not only doesn't fall off late game, but actually thrives late game. For real, j have gotten 1v4 quadrakills late game with poppy.

Good thing almost no one plays her.

Hope she doesn't get ahead early and if she does you have to 5-man and kite out her ult. Outside of her ult she needs to be killed quickly otherwise she'll just kill your entire team herself. She really is annoying to play against if she's on even ground at all, luckily she's not very popular.

If your team can manage to shut her down early she will really really struggle as long as you guys end the match early. Also, her passive makes her tanky when her health is low so you need everyone to focus her when she is low and on a carry. If she ults someone and comes for you her ult target has one job: peel her off people. If they don't then there isn't much you can do unless you are great at kiting.

typically, i press my laugh hotkey and type "silly yordle, the rift is for big people" in all chat...usually does the trick :P

you kick her ass early game it's so easy, you can do it with nasus with 30 stacks she can't win

Poppy typically has to put up with her opponent in lane until she loses it, she most likely doesn't even want to deal with the other top champion. she wants to get her hands on your squishy mage or ADC and strangle them to death, while ulting some idiot in the corner who isn't paying attention.

Glad I'm not the only one who hates I've heard AD crushes her in all phases of the game but I've yet to try this. Edit actually a fed can wreck her late game.

having played ALOT of Poppy lately i can list some stuff.

How to give Poppy trouble

1. don't run along walls

2. play champions with damage over times or the ability to spam spells

3. play champions with true damage

4. save ignite for her

5. sunfire cape helps against her, warmogs or guardian angel pretty makes using her R on that person worthless. I think a lot of the problems with Poppy is the fact that she's very easy to counter build in this manner, but so few people capitalize on it. (similar to old Veigar, everyone simply having a GA would ruin him).

6. she has a terrible early game and runs out mana quickly. In fact, paying attention to her mana is a good way to tell when she's vulnerable as she can't combo you or Q you more than once.

7. Hard engages help a lot, if you can open by making things a 5v4 whoever has to deal with the poppy can just flash//back out if they can while the rest of their team crumbles. Really, just teamwork in general works to disarm anyone including poppy using baits, peels, etc.

8)Diplomatic Immunity is fairly easy to play around due to the long cooldown and Poppy's dependence on it to dive. She falls pretty easily without it as your team can just collapse on her.
