How to lower my MMR?

Im a new player and have been doing fairly well in normal games, however I started playing with my bf who is lvl 30 diamond MMR. We won a few games and this has boosted me waaaay above my skill level. I am feeding in most normal games now.

I understand its good to play against people more skilled than you to learn quickly but Its getting tiring being outplayed at every move. I really want to be matched with people my own skill level again. Is there any way to lower my MMR quickly? Even on the games I feed my teammates often carry the game and we end up winning so its not being adjusted appropriately.

Example: Maybe I just need to vent but just recently I played a game on leblanc vs another lvl 30 leblanc. She obv had the advantage from the start will full runes and masteries with over 1k wins where mine is around 30. I really struggled but did my best to learn, but i just couldnt trade with her and died 4 times to her 1 in laning phase (and many more after). It was only made worse by the jungler raging at me and verbally abusing me after that the entire game, calling me mentally disabled. I have been reported now for feeding and its ruining my fun and motivation to play. :|

Thanks

The best way to get your MMR lower is to get to ranked and place. Bronze MMR is around 1000. Personally I haven't looked into it so I don't know if consistently losing normals affects your MMR but as I said before ranked will, and if you place then you can have a steady MMR and you'll be placed against people with similar skill.

Hope I helped.

Ask your boyfriend to teach you. Not just the basics, but ask him to lane against you. If you want to play against less skilled opponents, then play without him.

Don't play with your boyfriend.

Tough it out, you'll be fine. You just have some learning to do.

If it was easy and worthwhile to drop some people would abuse this.

When you hit level 30 you can play ranked which is its own new matchmaking. Matches are generally more balanced.
