Why is this behavior not punished

I have lost faith in riots punishment system. I know from these forums SOME people get punished but the fact 3 individuals from the games I played did not suffer any consequences from the result of their verbal abuse and hate speech is just incomprehensible to me.

1st game: I called and locked sup. The duo premade decided they wanted to go bot together so tried to force me to play bard jungle. I decided to not let them harass me out of my role.So for the 1st 5 minutes of the game they spammed 'RETARD' at me in chat non stop. With only pauses for other verbal abuse and profanities with calls to report me for trolling. I then ignored them the rest of the game reported them and moved on.

2nd game: I was matched with the same duo, but they were on the enemy team. The negativity was started by my own team member. This jungle got pissed because a duo on my own team who seemed to be Arabic were talking in their own native language and he didnt like that. He then went off on an endless racist and disgusting rant about how they were all ISIS members and they all deserved to be bombed. He refused to play with ' sand -n**ggers' and hoped their entire families would be blown up. He only referred to them as terrorists and proceeded to afk farm jungle camps entire game.

The enemy duo from previous game took this opportunity to gloat about how they were winning ofc again using profanities and calling us useless. My team member explained amumu was refusing to play due to his racism. The enemy duo immediately also began using racial slurs calling my Arabic teammates terrorists, referring to them as animals ect..

I ofc reported all 3 at the end of the game. I did not receive a message that any of them had been punished at all. All 3 are still playing games currently. I know riot allows some lenience for bad days but these players

-verbally abused team consistently over 2 games

  • were extremely racist and used extreme hate speech
  • trolled games
  • used derogatory terms against mentally disabled people
  • tried to harass me out of my role
  • were unsportsmanlike -called for reports

I really cant believe this isnt at least grounds for a chat restriction. Ive seen people be escalated to 14 day immediate ban for just saying homophobic slurs in 1 game on these forums. The inconsistency that punishments are applied has got my down and I just feel nothing but frustration that these 3 players were able to get away with that behavior

In a case like this submit a ticket. Tickets make actual Rioters look over the game and can result in faster and greater punishments.

Make sure the ticket is short and to the point. Also note that it is unlikely you will receive notifications for the punishments of others.

When you encounter nasty pieces of humanity such as those described, do not even say a word to defend yourself, instead just take screenshots of the chat and send those to riot with your ticket to report these poor members of the community.

Relying on just the aftergame report function is good, but for something like this you'd be doing yourself and the community a favor by reporting that to Riot in a ticket and you can be sure a REAL person will look into that for you and send a reply email. (it might be a copypasta response, but you can ask the one reading your ticket to not use the copypasta response most times)

But having solid facts to back up your defense will help. (hence the screenshots)

I wish you luck.

This is what happens when a company is not concerned about the health of their game and lets a computer punish people. It's only going to get worse. It may be a coincidence but this past weekend's rotation on twisted treeline was either my team got thumped or my team thumped theirs. I believe Riot screwed with the matchmaking algorithm because all the games were wipeouts, either way. I don't know if anyone else noticed this or not. I can't remember an evenly matched game all weekend and I played all weekend.

Don't fucking play blind pick normals maybe? It's by far the most cancerous queue, if you want decent games play ranked or at least draft pick.

And yeah, Riot doesn't and will never have the manpower to actually review every report or even 1% of all reports. The solutions to this are either a computer algorithm or community review(like the old tribunal). Since the LoL community is super cancerous I'd rather have a computer do it.

In general, I do agree with you. i think this is the #1 problem with no tribunal: lack of transparency about people getting punished.

This message that XXX was punished does NOT get it done.

Having said that, it IS possible that they got chat restrictions.. in that case, they would still be able to play.

The LoL community is just "Toxic" AF...everyone thinks they are a streaming sensation and/or a professional gamer. My advice is just to put one some music and use that mute button, and report, report, report. Open a post on Reddit and look for nice people to play with and queue together. Random games are full of trolls. Riot can't possibly ban all the kids who misbehave. Good luck. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, I get abused on a daily basis in the game. It's just something you have to deal with. Good Luck again.

you're just an instalocker who gets mad when people protest item 3070

You don't get banned for being toxic. If both teams decide to be pricks and they report you, you can get banned just based on 1 game. The system is broken and I got banned multiple times on "toxic chat" or whatever, WITHOUT EVEN CUSSING ONCE, or BEING RACIST at all, in all 3 games. HOW IS THAT FAIR, just because both teams agree to report me that doesn't mean I should instantly get banned.

Sometimes the Riot punishment system is just horrible. I know a few friends that were perma-banned for one bad game, and I myself was banned for two weeks after my game crashed and I couldn't re-join for about 6 minutes. Then, sometimes, in cases such as this one, people are just horrible and receive no punishment. Riot needs to have at least a few humanoid people to check over the reports.

A way the system could work could be this:

-Person is reported -Report is sent to machine to review it -Machine checks over the report two times -Machine makes decision on punishment -Report is then sent to a human to review -If the human agrees with the bot, then he could "lock in" the decision. -Player is punished

because they are not pro's so they dont represent what riot cares about

Do not insta lock anything this can cause problems.

Then why are you making this post? Only people that are consistently toxic over a LARGE number of games get punished. We're talking at least 20 games in a small period of time. If they keep being toxic, they'll get banned. If they're not, then it was just a bad day.
