Smurf Skin Buying acceptability?

So smurfs are a thing, and they get the free 400 rp from level 5. Since there are 3 skins for less than 400 rp, is it acceptable to use that rp to buy one of those skins for ones main account, or would that be considered abuse? (I know using smurfs for RAF isn't acceptable, but this is just the 400 rp all accounts get normally.)

To be clear I don't mean just make an account and get it to the minimum to gift, but for legitimate smurf accounts which happen to have that rp sitting around anyway when I'd rather use it on my main (who actually owns the champs in question).

Like Riot once said, if you "accidentally" referred yourself using your referral link, you're probably fine

So is it legitimately fine, or only 'fine' in the sense they probably won't care about it (as in a one off self RAF referral)?

Particularly with random good behaviour rewards, I don't want to discover there's something in the fine print somewhere that says I shouldn't do this and lose eligibility.
