20 Tips for the Inexperienced/Lower Elos!
For those who have been asking how to get out of bronze and silver, improve on league, here are some tips. I've been seeing a lot of posts "OMG HELP ME" but they eventually argue with people who are teaching him/her a thing or two. Shut up for 1 minute and learn from me. Explaining in easy terms so there are no confusion. It's going to be long, but if you really want help, I got you. 20 tips:
-
Do your best to stay positive. Why? With so many negativity, your teammates or even you will slowly become stressed over time, causing oneself to play below decent level. If you can't handle an ally smack talking you, why are you listening? Just mute, don't reply. Don't even say "OMG, MUTED".
-
Last hit minions. (Hitting minions when they are very low on health, to secure the gold.) Why? Because this help sustains the lane, won't push, earns you gold.
-
Always stay behind minions, to prevent Blitz's pull, Thresh's grab. The only people you should NOT stay behind minions are Lissanda and Zyra, stand sideways. (There's more champs like Zed and what not, these aren't the only 2.)
-
Objectives are more important. Of course kills can help you carry, but if you don't start breaking those towers, you won't be seeing their nexus anytime soon.
-
Never face check a bush, unless you're a God Garen. Enemies can be anywhere, so everyone on the team should ward! Not just the support! Oh, and practice looking at the mini map often. Eventually you're eyes will quickly glance at it like 2nd nature.
-
When you're behind in lane (when you're harassed to death and being out farmed), let the enemies push and hug your turret to farm. "IF" you feel like you cannot hold tower anymore and you are about to get dove, let it fall so that you may acquire more cs. Oh, if you're Mid, farm wraiths. Top? Golems/Wright. Same goes for Bot.
-
ADC mains. This is to you. STUTTER STEP. Stutter stepping is when you move and attack. Running away? Still basic attack as you run. Use "A" to help you know how long your auto attack range is. Don't care how low you are, your teammates are there, man up.
-
For supports. Your goal is to heal/shield the shit outta your ADC. Yes, you're supposed to ward too, but you can always ask your ADC to ward once in a while. Always harass in lane. Most importantly, once you achieve sightstone, change that trinket to a sweeper. Now you have something to sweep wards, plus you have wards. Woah, what?
-
No one counters anyone. It really depends on the players itself. BUT, if you know you cannot outplay that enemy champion, DO NOT counter yourself. For example, "I see a Garen. I know I'm bad at Riven, but let's go Riven." =___= It really all depends on one's skill levels.
-
Mid laners. If you're a ranged against a melee. Watch them cs, every time they come up to last hit a minion, basic attack them, or use your spells. Never forget to ward the side bushes or near your wraiths!
-
I don't jungle, but from what I know. Always watch the enemy Jungler. You want to counter gank them, help out your allies. It never hurts, but focus on the losing lanes. Now if the enemy Jungler is at top lane ganking, you want to go for dragon because they aren't there to contest or smite the poor reptile, earning your team global gold!
-
Watch streamers, they know a thing or two. Learn from them. No, not the cute ditsy ladies, the actual professionals that are willing to teach as they play. Keep in mind that some ladies are actually good at league too!
-
Kiting. While you're running, waiting on your cooldown to throw out more damage as you make your escape. Eventually if the enemy become low enough, you can turn on them and fight back. People get kiting and stutter stepping mixed up a lot. Stutter stepping's for the ADC's. When they attack and run for their escape.
-
As a top laner, how do I prevent ganks? Well you can't prevent a gank, but you can prevent a possibility of getting ganked. From what I learned, you want to ward the tri bush and around the area of where Baron is. When you see them coming, just back off until you know that they are COMPLETELY gone.
-
What's playing passive? Hugging towers, losing farm to prevent getting harassed, earning experience. Always try to farm cs, but if you know you're going to get grabbed in the face by Blitz, then don't.
-
Side step a spell when you CAN read it. If you know that the Ahri's going to walk up to you and throw an orb, you better step aside, make way for the queen my friend.
-
In a teamfight, you need to focus their mid laner or adc. Unless if those two aren't the fed ones for some odd reasons, you know who to focus, the damage applier on their team. ADCs, stand at the back of the line. Support, always protect your ADCs. If you're a tank and you're not in the front line, then do so.
-
Another thing I want to point out in lane. When you caused the enemy to flash, please don't chase them under the tower for a kill. You've already made them flash, wait til they come back and set up a good fight, knowing they are at disadvantage. (Some people get too tunnel visioned and continues to fight, ping your allies continuously until they back off!)
-
Team comp is everything. You don't know if your ally is skilled at all. So if you are ever uncertain, go for the CC champions to enforce better team fights rather than thinking that "hey this Cait is a GOD". That's solo q for ya.
-
Once it hits at most 20 minutes, start warding around Baron. This is prevent the enemy team from earning a total of 1.5k, with a heavy buff, setting you behind.
There's so much more I can apply to here, but these are the simple ones I can think of at the top in my mind. Don't be discouraged to watch a low viewered / high elo stream! Those people are who you should be watching, because with so little of viewers, they can actually look at chat and teach you! It comes along with learning champion's tips such as Akali and more! Give this post a shot. If you like what you read, thumbs up, like it. I spent my time giving tips out to you all. I'm not here to harass but simply giving some logic from what I learned over the months of playing league. Oh! And make sure to share for your friends to learn too! For any diamond players out there that would like to add an extra tip, go ahead comment below!
