I am trying to main Garen top and most of the time it is successful..... until I vs Ryze Whenever I Q he just imprisons me and then combos I am able to get a few kills but always end up losing lane and I would like to know a way to avoid that
As I understand it, there isn't a terrible lot you can do against that on your own. Your best plan is probably to just farm safely until your jungler or mid stops by to help you out. Ryze was a very popular top laner last season precisely because of his ability to avoid fights with melee tanks and bruisers, even at the highest levels of play.
Don't take bad trades, take whatever farm you can get and just hope your jungler helps you. Then consider not playing garen into ryze would be an option.
