Ahri is still very viable. Yes DFG was removed & yes her e doesn't increase dmg anymore but with the flat dmg increase on her w & e she can still drop someone by 50% if not more with a full e-w-q...and that's without her being fed. Plus the speed boost with her q makes her even more mobile when she was already one of the most mobile Champs anyways with her triple flash ult & bc of that she is still god tier bc mobility is what the current meta is all about with so many assassins being played.
Also, I find it extremely easy to carry with talon. Even with his silence removed he still does silly dmg, just like Leblanc after she got "nerfed". It doesn't take much practice to be good with him & if you master him it's just icing on the cake as you can win most lane matchups without jungler help with smart trades & knowing when to all in. If I had a nickel for every first blood/double kill I've gotten bc their jungle thought it was a good idea to gank me I'd probably have a nice little piggy bank collection. Plus he's one of the best roamers if you get mobi boots so after you win mid you can go down bot to get your ADC fed as well which is most likely gg
EDIT: I only made it to gold 4 before season 5 but I just wanna take a minute to point out I went from silver 3 to gold 4 within a couple weeks after pre season started & then stopped playing ranked bc i wanted to wait til the reset & just practice more in norms, where I find myself consistently playing with/against & beating high plat/lower diamond players.
