Hey guys, need some tips for 2 things.
Lissandra is much more of a safe lane pick rather than one you should be trying to kill with. Harass in lane with Q, if you get dove on just W. Your job is essentially to scale well into the mid-game, provide AoE point and click CC accompanied with a ton of burst damage and engage (which you should see at least a fairly large amount of burst in your CD rotation from just a stacked 
). If you like a slow laning phase like I do and prefer to afk farm rather than jump in for attempted harass all the time, you could also pick up a 
early, building into seraphs by the time your RoA is complete
"1) Been wanting to play liss more, but i feel like i can never get a kill in lane, feel like im lacking damage, or get blown up first."
If you can never get a kill in lane , you're probably not playing aggressive enough with harassing the enemy. You want to poke the enemy constantly, especially if they're melee, with your Q. Liss is a champion that has very short cooldowns thus her dps and overall dmg is more dependent on shooting more Qs; she does not have as much dmg as a leblanc in one full combo. Dont underestimate the power of shorter cooldowns. If you get blown up first, you're probably not trading back with the enemy when they harass. When the enemy tries to fight you, try to deal the same dmg back to them. Also, do not forget that your ult also acts like a free zhonya's hourglass on yourself (you can cancel an enemy's spell if you time it right) and you can still get the dmg off on the enemy as long as they are within your ult hitbox.

Xerath- strong mid laner with very long ranged abilities which are great for tower sieging and poking from a distance. leblanc - her 1v1 is very strong and she can easily burst down squishies which make her roams very potent.
