I was in a game where i rushed Locket since the enemy team had a Kat. Our blitz also bought locket. I had 254 mr when i was alone but i had 274 when blitz was near me and 2 different Aegis icons appeared in my buff bar. Is this intended, and if so is a 5 locket comp a good idea against a team of mages? (This was ARAM)
Each person can only benefit from one allied champion's

at a time. So if two people have Locket they both get the extra MR from their own aura and from their teammate with Locket. Their teammates will get the extra MR once even if they are in range of both of you. If three people build locket, the people that have it still only get the extra MR twice.
