In my opinion I dont like smurfs. If you dont know smurfs are another account you make for lol to level up on. You shouldn't make a smurf because... -They waste time of actually leveling up on your main account. -If you go on PVP and kill someone alot they might rage and not play again..Not cool.. -You want to buy more Rp for that account for skins.. -You proberly will go on your main less= less leveling up=don't improve=don't improve no higher rank and i bet bots don't help...

And this is why I Dont like smurfs In league of legends..What do you think do you disagree or agree tell me in comments and dont forget to answer the pole.

I played most of my 1-30 on my main (this account) through Bots. I was on a crappy PC at the time, and found it was easier to learn against bots.

Once I got a better PC, I created a smurf specifically for learning the jungle.. because trying to learn jungle on a level 30, and being only semi-decent, was just getting me flamed, pwned and upset. I felt less guilty about sucking and learning with a smurf, and really didn't have as many issues with toxic individuals.

In my instance, I approve of smurfs. I don't approve of those plat/diamond players who make a smurf, go into a game, start kicking ass, and then start spouting off shit like "haha gg ez. newbs. plat3 smurf".

I think smurfing can be great if you're learning a new role. You don't want to try out jungle for the first time against someone who mains the jungle role. It's also great to use to try out new champions who you may not be comfortable attempting to try on your main due to the high chance of being flamed. Also, if you have a friend who joins, you might want to smurf to play with them. If you're a level 30 and they're a level 5 and try to play pvp, the game will even out the levels and it might not be fun for your friend who is new to the game to go against people in levels 20-30.

You can smurf without being rude. You can also smurf and maybe give newer players some tips on how to improve their game (in a nice way of course).

Nothing wrong with smurfs just trying to level up another account for fun and to play with friends.

I don't think you "should" have a smurf account. Like, it's not something you should do to be better, or have more fun. However, I am not opposed to people who make them, for any reason.

When I was new I made a "smurf" account because it was annoying having to spend my hard earned IP on runes when what I really wanted to use it on were new champs. I would exploit the first win of the day bonus to essentially get more IP for my effort thus allowing me to get more champions unlocked sooner. Fast forward a few years and I don't really use the smurf any more but I did learn new champions in a very short amount of time. I have played every champion atleast half a dozen times and this knowledge helps me in my games now because I don't get surprised by what a champ does and I can fill in newbie teammates what to expect from their enemy in lane.

Also Riot has a thing where if you make a new account and level it up the "referral" account that was listed by the smurf account gets rewards, one of which is 1000 IP. So its not really that much of a bad idea to have a smurf account.

There are alot of reasons why people would take an interest in leveling a smurf. To some people, leveling up a smurfing ISN'T a waste of time because they enjoy it and they have access to another account. Some people could be coming back from a 6-month hiatus so they might make a smurf to ease back into league. Some people make smurfs because they care more about being able to play ranked on a fresh account. And theres more reasons as to why people would have a smurf account.

Don't assume everyone cares about skins. Thats not always the case, especially if the person can't afford it or simply doesn't want to purchase them.

All new smurf accounts start at 1200 elo (average) for ranked. I feel like smurfs work both ways in terms of how effective they can be for each player's individual skill. For example, if your main was gold 3 , playing ranked on your smurf will prove whether you're capable of getting to the elo that your main is at, displaying a test of your skill. Conversely, if your main was bronze 3 , playing ranked on your smurf lets you play at a higher elo and should help you understand crucial skills you may need to get to this elo and you might improve in the process.

-If you go on PVP and kill someone alot they might rage and not play again..Not cool..

If a person is going to rage and quit a game after having a bad match, they're probably weren't suited to play this game in the first place. Besides, there are alot of other reasons that make up for majority of league players leaving (like toxicity in the league community or disliking changes to the game).

Hate them because I have been paired against at least 3 plat+ smurfs in my provisionals..

Sometimes people get bored of their main, maybe due to having a troubling time in ranked or want to start fresh. I know people that started fresh and did a better job learning the champs, making better rune pages, buying champs they know they like and not just random champs, and did better in ranked.

Smurfs are good because they give you a chance to start clean and do better or have fun. My friend created a smurf when I started playing and he made me better because of.

I have 4 smurfs lol. Leveling up is a lot of fun. Especially when your lvl10 making whole teams rage quit.
