dodging = toxic or no?

I suck at jungle, I'm no good at top lane, can't stand playing support. So for that reason, I plan not to play those roles. Hell, only played support once and that was as zilean on this account.

so now every time I can't get adc or mid, I dodge, especially if there are key signs that the team is likely going to be bad (example, teemo support, or clarity yi, TP/flash jungle, etc.)

Don't really mind about champion picks as long as they can be remotely meta.

Thoughts?

dodging isnt being toxic, but you should be able to play more than 2 roles lol

At most times, you have to learn 3 or 4 roles. Limiting yourself to just that 2 roles is going to put you into a very tight spot in every queue you go into.

I don't think it's toxic. Beats spending 40 minutes in a potentially toxic match where you might inadvertently end up contributing to the shit flinging.

I'm on the fence about this. On the one hand, if someone has to be in a role they can't play, I do prefer them to dodge rather than force me to lose, especially in ranked.

On the other hand, this usually applies when the person in last pick gets the only role they can't play. I expect that once people get to gold, they can float in any role. It's a given, due to pick order, that the players earlier in the draft should be the ones carrying (they got their preferred picks, after all).

If I were you, I would put some effort into understanding the game a little more, to the point that you can play other roles. I used to be super intimidated by top lane, and I still don't know the matchups that well, but I can go there and not feed when I'm last pick. It's just something you ought to be able to do. Again, ESPECIALLY in ranked.

I keep saying, "in ranked" because in normals, just practice something new. It's just for fun. I only take these things very seriously in ranked. I mean, I still do my best to win in normals, but I pick champions that I want to learn, or try to do new matchups. Not sure why you wouldn't want that.

I wouldn't call it toxic, exactly, but if you're really that bad at jungling, just pick Master Yi and roll with it. He's the simplest jungler there is. His Q practically auto-clears camps for you. And if he has Red, he can probably pull off a decent gank with the slow.

Yi's not a perfect jungler, obviously, but he's an excellent starting point if you're going to learn the basics of the role. There's very little complicated about jungling with him. If you get stuck with jungle, you really shouldn't just dodge every time. Doing it once isn't toxic, but it's kind of a dick move to dodge every time because you won't take the time to learn the bare basics of it. Just try it against bots for a while until you get a feel for the flow of it.

Dodging is a good thing... not only does it save yourself... but it also saves your other (non-retarded) teammates from a certain loss. Just don't do it more then once every 8 hours or brush up on your failed American math skills and learn how to calucate how much time you will be AFK from the query dodge (30m for ranked) and point loss.

In Bronze... the 3LP loss from a single dodge is almost bribing you to take it. 3LP loss vs 20+LP loss (especially if your behind MMR) is not even worth thinking about it. DO IT!Ahri

One last thing... if you are on a chatban or otherwise... DONT dodge. I have had friends who been 30 game banned simply for doging 2 games in a row. Also don't dodge more then 2 games in a row per 24 period. And avoid doing it in general... the 2-game dodge is more likely to trigger an account action.

it's not toxic, though it is a problem if too many people do it too often. if you are willing to pay the price of some ip and time, then it's ok.

Play Team Builder if you want to always get the role you want. Or make a Ranked 5s team.

I mean... you can dodge 3/5 of your games in solo queue if you want, I guess. But you'll never get anywhere and the dodge penalties get atrociously long.
