How to beat Riven

Riven walks into a bar...there was no counter.

nah tbh she is indeed totally freelo atm , no damn counter at all.

Ya, about the only way to beat Riven is if she makes a mistake, like tower diving with low health..... Oh wait, that usually works too.

Nasus counters her. She gets tiamat, and push's you under tower all the time. Basically free farming for Nasus

I crap on Riven pretty often as . Most Rivens in the Bronze-Gold level suffer from chronic yolo syndrome and will faceroll at you with their full combo constantly. Provided you avoid doing the same it's not that hard to poke her a bit until she's low enough to all-in and blow up. If not permitted to go full-on ham and cheese, Riven is joke. Pick someone who can punish her mindless aggression and them spam laugh.

Any champ that can punish her for going in counters her. Or a champ with a Long Silence. or someone that can Harrass her and sustain at the same time Or a non-top laner taken top with a 100% win rate Top in the LCS when not banned

I regularly beat Riven players 1 on 1 with Nasus and Shen.

With Nasus you're most likely gonna get jumped on right from lvl 1. The thing you should NOT do is let her harass you for free, if you have the space for it ALWAYS hit her back since she's the aggressor she will take damage both from your autos and your creeps. She also has crappy sustain and relies solely on potions so this will wear her out. She naturally pushes lane with her combo so she will reach lvl 2 before you most likely, be ready for that and just back off close to your tower and let it get pushed it doesn't matter if you miss 1-2 lasthits you can't go too greedy here. When you get lvl 3 Siphoning Srike, around 100 stacks and some more armor you can start trading with her pretty comfortably (no need to go too agressive though). When you complete Frozen Heart + Sheen you outright kill her if she tries anything funny.

Shen is a natural counter because he has constant poke which her bad sustain matches up poorly against, he is tanky and he even has mobility to disengage from a bad trade. Just keep up the poke against her and don't go into extended trades. If she insists on attacking you can use your E to taunt her while you're dashing backwards towards your own creeps. Doing this will do a little bit more damage towards her from your E, make it so that she walks into your creep wave while having full aggro and sets you up to Q her again and possibly throwing in an auto attack so this is a good way to wear her down and punish her for being aggressive.

Starting Cloth+5 highly recommended for both matchups.

And every one ignores It's so easy to get his stun off plus he is extremely mobile. Just poke and stun and she can't really do anything.
