Akali top

So I'm level 19 close to 20. Lately I have found out Top is my best place to be along with mid as a second choice. I have been playing Rek, Cho and Kayle in top mostly. With that being said I have been wanting to try out some new champs and Akali has caught my eye. I have read she is viable as a Top and Mid and was curious if this was still the case. I have never tried an assassin which is the main reason I would like to try her. A hard learning curve does not bother me because I have played games my whole life and love a challenge but I don't want to hinder my team at the same time. Is Akali still a good champ to pick as a Top and or bot champ? Also any tips or other assassin champs to try other than her would be appreciated!!

she can be played top, and while some matchups can be easy, some can be hard. it's also good to look at what your team needs, but akali works top and mid. you can also go zed and yasuo top as well as mid, but assassins do best mid in a lot of cases.

I wouldn't suggest it. They recently gutted her and her winrate dropped by 10%. Really, I think you'll have a lot more fun as a dif champ. Don't get her unless they undo they nerfs and do something a little less drastic.
