Any suggestions?

So I've been trying to pick up the adc role, and currently I'm trying to find someone to play. Right now I've been trying to play Draven but I haven't had much success with him because I can't exactly get accustomed to his play style.

Any suggestion on who I could play? Preferably someone who's good at trading in lane but other suggestions are appreciated.

Simple ADCs are Jinx and Graves. Especially Graves. He can do so much burst out of nowhere and make enemies vanish in a matter of seconds. And he isn't 6300 IP Graves

Sivir Caitlyn are both pretty good at trading, and they both teach some basic mechanics of ADC. Sivir teaches some attack move and team manipulation, especially for engages. Caitlyn teaches pressure and also forces you to rely on auto attacks.

Depending on your preference for playstyle there are different ADC's/Marksmans.** Ashe** is good starter because she has the potential to kite or chase with her slows. She has hawkshot for vision, volley to apply her frostshot and it's a good poke. Her ult can also help a friend long range win a duel, or stop/help a confrontration before you're even a part of it. Sivir has a spellshield and it can help teach you timing, as well as her boomerang Q helps teach you about skillshots.

Just evaluate your options. Most of all other than learning a champ, is to learn the role. If you know ADC thoroughly, you could probably apply any Marksman to the role.

Also go to youtube for visual tips on how to trade, cs, and engage in a teamfight as a marksman. This channel's videos are lengthy, but it might help. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCeGtVfZD9LVttCJzjIJLY1g

Kog'maw is good pick because he can buff his attack range by a very large amount with his W. KogMaw

Draven is probably the last one you want to play as when learning the ADC role. He's not played very much because of how difficult his "mini-game" is. You have to have a strong understanding of positioning, trading and CSing just in order to go even with him. But he snowballs harder than anyone else and is one of the 3 hypercarries in the game (Kog'maw and Vayne are the other 2).

Ezreal is one of my better ADCs. He's whats known as an AD caster. He rides on his abilities for dishing out the majority of his damage. So when he runs out of mana he becomes much weaker than the other ADCs. He isn't bad early on but falls off late game. His ultimate has a short cooldown that shortens further with each target you hit with any ability while it is on cooldown. Its not a split pushing tool but has poor waveclear without building in some AP. He's not horrible but in relation to all the other ADCs his late game strength is very near to the bottom of the list.

Jinx is quite good at trading. Even with her most recent nerf she is still top tier ADC and super simple too. She has a strong early game and an even stronger late game. She is arguably the best at besieging towers. Her wave clear isn't bad either. Her ultimate is a global AOE rocket so its great for team fights even when she's not in the area. Her only downside is how she lacks an escape when her passive isn't active. There's not much she can't do to be honest.

Lucian is also very good at trades. Right now he's a middle-of-the-pack ADC in terms of strength. He's mobile and bursty and just like Ezreal is an AD caster. Lucian is fairly good at chasing down a kill and can, with practice, be a great kiter too. His build is pretty weird in that he gets lucidity boots paired with youmuu's ghost blade and blade of the ruined king. Lucian's downside is his range so his early game isn't that great when he gets matched up against ADCs with superior range (Caitlyn, Varus, Ashe) but otherwise he's pretty solid all game round.

The only reason I've ever wanted to learn Draven is to feel like a badass after I've mastered him. It seems I was never badass worthy.

Btw any thoughts on Ezreal?

My preffered adc is Ashe. The primary reason to pick her is her ult, and I greatly prefer having reliable hard cc. Any champion that doesn't have it usually feel like they have far less presence to me.

Ashe pokes defensively in lane, until she gets to level 6. She has a powerspike there where you can get kills and its her best chance to snowball. Hawkshot means she can carry a warding trinket and help her team with vision that way as well. And she deals pretty good damage, you don't need to stack up her Q for it to be useful if you need damage ASAP.

Downside is immobility, she definately requires good engage sense, positioning, and a mindset to fight. You're not likely to be able to run away from a bad fight with Ashe. Always use her vision advantages to take care.
