So I've drifted away from top lane(to mid/adc) for a while because the champions I was playing fell out of meta or just didn't suit me anymore.
I wanted to know which one of the two (Hecarim and Trundle) should I get and invest time on.
Any opinions are appreciated!
Edit: I also wanted to use one of those two in the jungle.

BluePolarizer1 votesI am a Hecarim main with 500+ ranked games of Hecarim in plat 1. But he was HUGELY nerfed recently in terms of both direct nerfs, items and game pacing. He is below the 50% win rate mark in both top and jungle, and in the bottom quartile of champs in these roles.
Trundle is one of the best duelists in the game so if you get good at him and know how to land E, you will win easily regardless of meta.
Ryùuzaki1 voteshi rightnow hecarim's a bit broken so he might get some nerfs in the future but he's still great in both doing 1v1 and in teamfights thanks to his ult and he's really mobile as for trunddle he's great for winning lane and doing 1v1s and he can do much in a teamfight as long as you're not focused or getting cced and he has less mobility than heca soi recommend hecarim gl

is a great duelist who can gank people with low mobility rather easily as you shove a piller in their way then W and come hell and high water. Also strong duelist. He's ok in lane but I feel like you just farm until your first item. Only issue with him is mid lane looks like 
right now and ranged CC is your Achilles heel.
However just Q spins people in the face with his aoe up, runs BEHIND YOU, and pushes your forward. This works on more people than pillar. Also, his Ult is just great for stealing objectives like Dragon.
Personally I like trundle because in my Elo, most mages right now are no escape and top lane is usually juggernauts which means I'm stealing tanks stats, stealing the AD off the ADC, and hitting fools like they're the three stooges.

AyRe CoNteMpT1 votesif you stop playing champions because they "fall out of meta", why dont you just pick the champion who is most meta? i wouldnt know which one that is because i only play good champions, but if you want to be a dog, just check lolking biggest toplaner popularity and enjoy.
