Is there anyways to survive lane against a counter pick?

Hi, so i just finished my placements games going 2/8 and landing in bronze 1 thankfully. Buy every match i was usually counter pick (I'm a mid and top kind of player) and it was a real struggle to either survive in lane or to even cs to that matter. So here I'm asking the community to help another player leave a comment or too on how to survive a counter pick. Thanks for the consideration to help and good luck and have fun!

Would help to know specific matchups.

In general, dodge skillshots, focus on farm, ask for an early gank, and it's safer to base early than to try to stick it out in Lane a bit longer. If you base and they don't, you'll come back with an item lead and health lead if you poked back at all, and should be able to survive Lane.

the best way to survive is to not suck, i get counter picked half my games since i usually only play talon when i can, its not that big of a deal to either outplay them or focus on cs and roam around if you absolutely cannot defeat them for whatever reason (malphite mid with full armor runes and starts cloth armor can get 50+ armor at lvl fucking 1...)

Got any specific examples?

I've found that getting countered in lane is only a big deal against smurf accounts. Most people that I end up against in match-made games pick a character simply for the that fact that that character is a counter. They don't actually capitalize on any of the advantages that champ has over mine.

I'd say just stay safe, focus on farm, and help out the other lanes. If you're ballsy, you can draw them out farther toward your turret and ping your jungler for a gank.

The big thing is to not give up kills. You're already losing lane don't let them snowball off it.

If you don't think you can win the lane try to help other lanes snowball with roaming and TPs

Also, once the guy takes your outer tower freeze the wave under your inner tower. This will allow you to catch up in CS in the mid game. If he pushes up to your inner turret that leaves him very vulnerable to ganks.

You didn't give any specifics so you will only get generic tips.

Know your champion and what roles they can fill. If counter picked ask for a lane swap for another lane/role your champion is capable of pulling off.

Stay under turret. In most cases place a friendly minion in line between you and the enemy champion, this will protect you from poke. Watch said minions health. If it is about to die place another minion between you and the enemy. If there are none left then back off.

Be proactive in helping your jungler. Ward his jungle and he will wonder "what nice person is helping me protect my jungle from invades?" and will be more likely to gank your lane because of it.

Roaming will help keep you in the game. Snowball your teammates harder than your opponent has been snowballing off of you.
