Master Yi champion help

Hello, I would like everyone's advice on Master Yi whoever uses him and is really good at using him. I would like to know what kind of items/runes/spells are perfect for Master Yi when playing at Summoner's Rift, Twisted Treeline, Howling Abyss and Crystal Scar. I have my own that I use for Master Yi on each map, but I want a more expert advice on it. Which 7 items would you recommend for Master Yi for each map if its not on here or if i'm not using it already.

Here is what is use for each map. If you have better items/runes/spells for Master Yi who really knows how to use him well, please tell me.

-also I haven't put any runes on Master Yi yet cause I don't know which one is perfect for him. -The items in bold are the 7 item slots that I regularly choose out of all the items for each map for each game.

For Summoner's Rift and Twisted Treeline I use the same items. Starters Boots of Speed Doran's Blade

im not good at yi, but i've been maining him this season at top lane and jg, but for teh lulz i play him at all lanes regularly .....

i cant say anything concrete since i don't have a single build every game....just depends on too many things

I would however suggest based solely on my opinion that you should reconsider Berserker's Greaves as your essential item....I only get it when im wayy ahead, otherwise merc treads are much better against ap and chain of cc's......and ninja tabi is really efficient against other duelers.

Also try a game where you build blade of the ruined king first....its very efficent on yi

Dont forget your base movement is one of the higher ones (355)...you don't even need to buy boots early (depending on the matchup ofc). So i stick with doren's blade or flask 3 pots and go straight for blade of the ruined king.

this is all for summor's rift tho

I still haven't found a good build for dominion since they just remade infinite edge on it, Currently I do skip blade of the ruined king for ghost blade on dom since 90 sec cd is too long for it....but its not as good as i was hoping....still experimenting, no idea whats good.

i don't have enough Howling Abyss experience to help out on that. good luck!

Yeah I don't really use Berserker's Greaves until later on the game, what I found that got me 20+ kills one game yesterday was buying two of Youmuu's Ghostblade + 1 Phantom Dancer and along with AS, Wuju and Highlander when attacking a champion it kills the champion or multiple champions pretty fast. And I usually just play at mid with him and sometimes help out at bot. But thank you for any info you have given me!

goodjob, you did really great that game, keep it up dawg....

but honestly that's very inefficient usage of gold. you shouldn't buy two of the same items if the passives don't stack. Actives already dont. Simply because you're paying way too much for how much stats you get.

also try to getting more damage instead of so much attack speed

you'll hit you 2.5 attack speed limit and gold will be wasted
stacking full attack speed isn't bad since it can cut through armor really fast...but it isn't nearly as effective as damage against a team of glass cannons which you were vsing(your enemies weren't buying armor). Don't forget yi is only as effective as ur build is so try to build accordingly
that match i woulda gotten ninja tabi and randuin's omen for sure so you don't die the moment you enter the team fight. They had 4 adcs in their team and all 5 buying AD(no ap in their team) with almost full build. Assuming u were playing with good players and not low lvls ;p, they would group up and you'd have no chance diving their back line simply because there was no 1 significantly important spell you could dodge with Q Or block with W, I mean you could of dodged an auto or 2 but not as something special.

If you're more into split pushing and dueling/catching ppl out alone I woulda gotten a thorn mail that match since its pretty cheap and the passive will basically cut ur enemies life steal.

Im not saying full glass is bad, Just full attack speed isnt great. If you're stacking crit you definitely should get infinite edge. For survivability blood thirstier is really good if you get to auto attack in fights and not blownup e.g vs shyvana instead of a glasscannon xin or rengar. against cc Qss is beast. Try different builds see what suits ur play style. good luck!

I'd like to consider myself good at yi, I don't but I'd like to. I end up winning the game when there is another yi in the game, so that's something I suppose.

Anyway, You've seen the guide as far as how to use his abilities effectively, so I'm pretty much just gonna focus on items. I play Yi in the jungle because his early game is darn near atrocious and playing in the jungle reduces the possibility of feeding with your bad early game. Yi of course scaling with attack speed, I get item 3718 because his main form of damage is auto attacks. Next I get item 3144 for both the active and sustain in the jungle. Then I grab item 1001 , I put off upgrading my boots till after finishing my item 3153 so I know if I need item 3111 or if I can build item 3006 . This is Master Yi's core build. build these items every game you play him in the jungle. Next up is item 3142 for the active. Use this and R (plus runes and masteries) to hit the 2.5 attack speed cap. This is all the attack speed items you will need. Normally, I'd say build crit after that, but because of the item 3931 on-hit yi is just so much better than crit yi right now. So, up next is either you build item 3071 and 1 defensive item, or item 3072 and 1 defensive item. If I'm really ahead I build both BC and BT for funsies.

I'm leaving your defensive item up to your discretion, because it should generally be different every game based on who is fed on the enemy team.

So, quick general tips for this build: Only teamfight when both your ult and item 3142 active are up, which if you win a teamfight, they will be up by the time the enemy re-spawns and get's back to you, and if you lose the teamfight, they will be up by the time you do.

I generally don't gank until lvl 6 because it's a guaranteed kill at that point, and yes, I get a lot of hate for that, but i end up carrying the person who flames me anyway because as a jungler you are not obligated to gank for anybody. (sorry, ranting about the mid laner in my last game)

It's better to try and fight the enemies one at a time, simply becasue you are one of the best lategame duelists in the game. Split pushing is your friend except in the case that they have a Tryndamere . He has equal lategame damage scaleing to you and you don't have enough burst to kill him before he can ult, his ult lasts longer than your w, so it makes it easy for him to dual you. in this case, win the 4v5 teamfight, and you can push faster than he can because of your passive. He can't crit towers so you kill them faster with attack speed.

That's about all I can think of so far. I don't have much experience with lane yi, it's not something i find fun. My limited experience with it is that you can harras from range by alpha striking a minion when there are 3 or less minions near by, as the damage will apply to the champ, but you will finish the animation by the minion so that they can't harass back easily. The other reason I don't like lane yi is that it's extremely hard to stack devourer in lane and it just has so much synergy with Yi's scaling.
