Can anyone please tell me how to counter that overmobile, overpowered piece of something brown cuz all she needs is one kill at top and its done , she won the lane and if you play safe from just one death she just needs lvl 6 before she gets you again :/ and oh yeah to put soo much damage , soo much CC , soo much utility , soo much execute in one champ is just too much and once she gets ahead you can just pray that they end the game before min 20 :3
She has hard counters galore....Garen, Olaf, Renekton oh my god Renekton, Jax, Darius....of course now with this new patch...might have to see how some of that works out.

yes I countered riven last night she did no damage all game to me. Galio 27 armor runes and 27 armor scaling with righteous glory thornmail frozen heart gauntlet visage
you counter her by playing passive and not giving her kills
she wants to snowball, so deny her that.

The nature of Riven is high-risk, high-reward. She is a mobile dps machine with a stun and shield and super damage steroid at lvl 6 with a ranged execute.
How to counter Riven?
Champions that can have favorable matchups: Darius until new patch comes out Renekton Cho'gath (silence OP) Garen post 6 Jax? Nasus post 6 and first/second back for items
Champions countered by her: Gnar Tryndamere Nasus pre 6 Anyone squishy without an escape
Champions with a skill matchup for advantage: Pantheon Rumble I could go on, but honestly I don't want to post an entire Counterpick section, this is just off the top of my head.
silence her? stun her? kite her? and you typically have to be really good at riven to actually do what would be considered "good" with her.
all they had to do was start cloth5 and there was almost no possible way for her to win lane against them. Not so sure after the rework.
Since half her skills have mobility attached, a root will completely prevent her from being able to cast them.

Counter her? Not building tank necessarily, but the champ in general. He has a ranged poke and slow, dodge, and an aoe slow/stun/shield that could shut off a big chunk of lane for her to run around in, even without landing it on her. Not to mention the dodge/engage.
well, with armor getting nerfed, I'm afraid that less and less will counter her.
Its impossible to win good Riven. Truth from diamond Riven mains. Thats why she's #1 top pick in high elo (Champion.gg sayin that she has more than 30% pick/ban rate - highest at the moment).
As with the new juggnauts update I shat on a riven!
Honestly she counters mega gnar semi hard by e'ing around his skillshots and stun, but mini gnar literally destroys her. I do not care what anyone says a Gnar WILL win against a riven if played right.
Yes, Lee Counters her very hard.
Just rush a Sunfire Cape and she can't fight you there rest of the game.
