I was thinking about buying her after I played her on PBE but I had no clue what to max and just went for the true damage autos then the stun then leap. Mainly that's because of what I normally do with champions but I'm a bit scared to play her because of that reason of not knowing what to max.
Help.
Also ETA on her VU? Should of gotten it far beyond Fiora.
Generally I usually max W first since it maximizes your early damage potential, then Q second to maximize your burst when you get sheen/Trinity and E third.
There are some lanes where you'll want to max Q or E first though. (i.e. max E vs. Riven) I have class rn so I can't go into detail but i'm sure someone will explain
Easy ideas:
E: Max when you are fearful of dying to hyper damage (Riven etc) who you can immediately CC off and run.
Q: Almost never. This is like...if you got really ahead and want to deal lots of dmg, I see no reason for Irelia to be maxing this over another unless shes aggressively butchering her lane.
W: At all other times. This is just a super safe skill and there is absolutely no harm in maxing this first.
Hey, another good place to look for Irelia tips is Irelia Carries U guide(I'll link it at the bottom of the post). He's a pretty high ranked Irelia main, that not only talks about skill order, but he also has runes and builds there too. He also has a youtube channel that talks about specific matchups and shows how Irelia can win them. I've been using it and I've gotten quite a bit better at Irelia IMO.
