hi i just bought Draven DRAYVENNNNNNNNNNNNNN and the problem i am encountering is fighting vs others when we are close for example- a Lucian approaches me and i have my q activated and my problem basically is trying to catch my axes while clicking on Lucian and watching his support who is trying to cc me. this also happens a lot in teamfights where i lose sight of the mark where the axes gonna land and so i deal less damage. This issue results in me losing trades in lane and soon getting zoned. Any tips would be highly appreciated , thank you to whoever takes time to reply.

i would like to point out that on my own i am okay at catching axes and i understand their pattern of landing , it is just hard to keep up with this plus everything else that is going on around me , basically i always lose my axes and end up dealing less damage than i could do.

Dra-Y-ven .... dafuq?

Also Draven is a champ the requires the user to be good at him to deal out as much damage as possible. It comes down to practice.

Yeah it's literally just a matter of practice, once you play him enough it'll just be second nature. There's no real trick to it.

draven is hard because you need to catch those axes, however you only need to catch a few axes during a fight then just straight up ham. I recommend going in with double axes with W activated, try to catch at least 1 axe to reset your W. CC is your enemy. Champs like vayne and quinn would knock you back to keep you from getting axes.

Before you go HAM, stack up your passive. That's one of your advantages but try not to waste too much time to stack it.

Like everyone said, just practice him.

he does so much damage i usually just have 2 axes going, and q up. then i aa-e-w-aa- if i happen to catch an axe keep chasing straight for them and q anytime i drop one. hopefully my sup cc's them and i can catch the axes on the run. honestly just keep track of how much damage your dealing and when you can get the kill in 4 attacks go ham. you'll usually get them.

One of the most important things you have to remember with Draven is his passive, get it stacked up some before going in for a kill(about 50 min) unless they start engaging on you. Another important thing is how Draven hits like a wet noodle without his Q active. They will be likely to engage on you when you don't have your Q up, so see of you can get a support with good CC to help you engage on them with you having a good amount of stacks and Q ready, catching axes can be tricky when in combat. Main thing is practice, possibly read a guide made by The Dravening, and his stacks. Try to not lose the stacks, go in for a kill when you have high kill potential (possibly having Leona support and going in when both of you are lv3 and again at lv6). Practice will pay off with interest when you get the hang of catching axes in combat. With a few kills, his Q will hit like a train and by late game, you get to remove squishes in about 2 Q-autos.
