Lux Vs. Yasuo (Halp!!)

I had a rough game earlier because of something I had not yet dealt with. I understand that Yasuo's wind wall blocks incoming projectiles, but whenever I would throw down my E BEFORE he put up the wall, the second he did, it would vanish. I had tried throwing it down a few times as a slow, not to detonate it, but he would wait for me to do it, put up the wall, and then POOF... it's gone. I knew it would block my ult and snare, but it doesn't seem right that he can put it up after I've cast something and have it go away.

Yasuo can block...(wait for it)... all of lux's abilities except for her ultimate.

I noticed that in my games against Yasuo as Lux that Yasuo's windwall procs off the center of the orb. If you can throw out the orb so that the center stops just before the windwall you can detonate it upon landing right as he is on the edge of the spell. Keep doing this until you see him throw out a wind wall. Once you see him use it you have a 20 second window to land a good Q on him and then laser his face off. Or if you want to play the safe route you can start throwing your E directly at where he is.

Now if he is a good Yasuo there is a bit of a mind trick you can play with him. Yasuo will only "dodge" if he has a minion to dash onto. Throw your E into the closest group of minions to him. Now toss out your Q directly at him or lead where you think he will walk to. Yasuo now has two decisions. He can take the Q to the face and possibly the laser or he can dash onto the minion and take the E explosion damage and possibly a laser to the face. Either way his face will be messed up and you will come out ahead in this trade. The only downside is that this "technique" is mana intensive so I recommend rushing this item item 3114 and turn it into this item item 3165 . If you fall behind then get yourself some boots and keep your distance. The boots will help dodge the cyclones he will toss out so just be mindful of that.

then E and Q can be cancelled once E is on the ground he cant cancel it, and your ultimate isnt a projectile it is instantly doing damage in that whole line so.

Then I'm guessing I have found an issue? My jungler came to help a few times, one of which I ulted and it was blocked and he saw it happen. I thought that was normal though

You shouldn't be throwing your e at Yasuo that is your problem. Wait for him to use his Dash and q him as he gets into his offensive attack range. If you have to use your e lay it inbetween you and yasuo so it "drops" before he has time to wind wall it. You should be waiting for him to make a mistake and punish him for it rather then trying to fight him on even grounds.

This sounds unfair but you have no idea how legit it is. Just be patient, I garuntee Yasuo players will get bored and or cocky and take the offense and chance and put themselves in a position you can expploit to your advantage.

The times I threw it down to slow him, he was still using his dash (I was at my turret and he was closing the gap to sling out his knock up with the intention of ulting me). It was already on the ground before he got the wall up and I'm telling you... The second he put it up, it vanished. I did not detonate it, it did not time out and detonate, just gone. That was the clearest time that it happened.

Well, you're still using your e wrong. You shouldn't be getting hit by Yasuo's knock up. It's so telegraphed. If you can't count to 3, he even gets a very visual buff indicating he's ready to throw it. It's a linear skill shot, if you can click on the ground you can move and avoid it. If he is dashing to avoid your e, you should be hitting him with your q. You are a ranged champ. With a snare. And a sheild. And a slow. And a long range ult that goes through his windwall You asked for help against Yasuo. It's been given. You're still complaining. I think you need to learn to play Lux better. The problem isn't Yasuo. It's you.

He's not complaining, he's trying to explain something that occurred in game.

It's easy to say "click on the ground you can move and avoid it", but when you're against a skilled Yasuo player, then it's a whole different story. Forget about hitting him with your Q, he will block it. Even if you manage to bait out his wall with your E, then what? Q and ult? You won't be able to kill him just with those 2. Furthermore, Yasuo will be standing behind minions to prevent getting Q'ed or will dodge it with his dash. And he will just play safe until his wall is back up. I've played the lane a few times and it's not as easy as you make it seem.

There's no point in role playing out senarios of a game on the forum. You don't realize how pointless it is.
