get out of Silver?

All in all I just want to improve and get at least to Gold this season? What kind of goals should I set in terms of improving my gameplay (becoming a High-Gold caliber player)?

My guess is spamming good champions like Lee/Vi/J4 and maining Jungle?

Play jungle.

But when deciding on which champ to play, don't just look at what champs see jungle play in pro play. Lower tiers are a lot more vunerable to speedy ganks, and less likely to counter-jungle if you pick a weak early jungler.

Personally, I think Hecarim is a good choice.

1)You have decent ganks pre-6, and good ones post-6. 2) He can be built with a focus on damage, but can also go tanky if you fall behind or your team needs more of a frontline. 3) Powerful teamfight ult that can throw unorganized teams into disarray.

Just have to avoid ending up in a 2V2 or 3V3 early-game.

Jungle effects all lanes, and should be able to fill the role of an assassin, fighter, or tank depending on what the support and top role fill out to be (Pantheon top with a Soraka support? go tanky. Galio top with Annie support? Go fighter, etc)

Although the rest of the characters are important, the Jungle should be able to keep a drowning lane afloat, and keep a winning lane ahead.

Though I'm not fond of people who only play mid or the current OP junglers because they want to carry, Aziriously OP is probably right on those fronts. The other thing I would point out is that you should learn to be a very good support. Oftentimes, the supports you play with are just people filling in because they were last pick, and they tend to do poorly. If you are very good at the role, you can fill it in when nobody else on your team would do well. It will make a big impact on your team's total performance to have skillful utility and warding, or even a fed bot lane.

Jungle if your decent with early game carry junglers likeXinZhao LeeSin from what i've been doing. If not, mid laners with good roaming potential like Ahri Lissandra

Both of those because you can roam and give the team leads if they aren't doing so well.

Basically you want a role that can snowball your entire team, not just yourself.

Mid and Jungler since they can affect all lanes if played efficiently.

TBH I think you can climb from any role - so it's more productive to ask yourself which role you enjoy/want to play the most.

I climbed by spamming ADC, the whole way I questioned if it was even possible because you can't depend on random people to peel for you but that was just my way of blaming my team for my own mistakes. Once I figured out what I was doing wrong I almost instantly shot up to gold.

But anyways, I literally know people who've climbed by spamming support, jungle, mid and top. They're all equally viable, so just pick whatever role suits you the best. GL :)

As you may have guessed, Jungle has the most potential for massive impact on the early-game. If you're trying to go for Gold as quickly as possible, that might be your best bet.

However...

Getting to Gold quickly does not necessarily mean you deserve to be there. If you intend to just "ride the FreELO Train" to climb as fast as possible, don't expect to stay there long. Keeping your place means learning more and more about the game. You'll need to be able to play a minimum of two roles competently, with a diverse champion pool for each.

If you climb quickly because you're playing "OP" or "Flavor of the Month" champions, you'll soon find that your matchmaking level exceeds your actual ability, and you'll have a very rough time. Better to climb slowly, knowing that you earned your rank through hard work and patience.
