Warding as a Jung in Low ELO

So in a standard game i usually start ward trinket then upgrade to greater stealth trinket at lvl 9. buying a few wards before that. I know most jungles get/need the sweeper. I have found that in my bronze world other people warding is rare.

What are you thoughts? should i keep on with ward. or try to go with the sweeper for better ganks at the cost of much less global vision?

I'm in Plat and I've never gotten sweeper when I jungled and I did just fine most of the time. I'm not a jungle main though. I'm sure you'll be fine.

On the other hand, if you really cared that much, it's really situational. If your team lacks vision, it might be better to go with stealth trinket. If your team has sufficient vision, you might want to grab a red instead. You should be able to determine this early-mid game. With the buff from raptors, you don't really actually need red as jungler until laning phase is over.

In your elo, I would say the upgraded trinket is the way to go. If you think about it that most people in your elo don't ward, there isn't much point to getting a sweeper and you will benefit much for from giving your team extra vision.

On the other hand it is definitely more beneficial for junglers to have a sweeper for clearing objectives like baron and Dragon when they run out of pinks but it is pretty important for your lanes to be warding if you have a sweeper. I usually think it is best for Mid, Jung, and Support to have a sweeper while Top has a warding trinket and your AD has an orb. (your support and possibly jung should have a sightstone though.)

If the enemy solo laners are not warding much in low elo your red trinket will have limited use. Except around bot lane.

You can probably get by by smiting razorbeaks to clear any ward you run into.

Greater Stealth Totem + Smite Raptors & Crabs

I try to get a pink ward my first back as jungler whenever I can and I normally keep the ward totem to help out my laners by warding their common gank routes. I really like the greater stealth totem, basically a sights tone for 250 gold. just try to work around what your team needs, if the support for some reason is really attached to their warding totem even after a ruby sightstone, then get the sweeper. If not, having 3 more wards on the map is life saving.

Here is a secret. Peope dont buy the upgraded trinket in higher elos either... atleast in gold where I am its very common for only me to buy the trinket and in the end of the game have like 35 wards placed compared to the others 3-6. Which is another confusing number. If you buy the free trinket at the start of the game then how do you end up with 5 wards placed in a 35 minute game..

Back on topic I think you should keep getting the upgraded ward trinket. Having atleast 2 people with 4 wards out gives a huge advantage.

If you're a tank jungler start ward trinket and then switch to sweeper on your first back and buy wards until you get a sight stone.
