Is it smart to spam solo q?

BamBoozzled··1 votes·2,312 views

Hey everyone i was wondering if you guys can help me out. Im in gold 3 51 lp at the moment (as i write this in the q for a ranked game) and i was wondering if any of you can shed some advice on this topic. I main support and if i dont get it i normally just fill, i do my best not to feed and normally dont but im really confused. Most of my friends i have most in and around mid gold, high plat, and some diamond. They mostly just spam ranked but im always nervous im gonna lose lp. I would like to reach plat but im kind of at a standing point. I would like to learn other roles for example i play irelia top and j4 jungle. With this, its fun to play support and i love the role and being stronger then like mostly all the low play and high gold players but i want to play other roles. Most of the people i know just play what they want in solo q but i dont know whether to practice in normals or ranked. I know all the supports but i want to play more top and mid i win my lane most of the time but i want to be able to be versatile in solo q to get better and eventually climb but i dont know when to play ranked and if i should play the champs i want to try out?

Try to get a champ that can do more than 1 role, especially if you like support. For example, lots of mage supports can do mid. Ashe can support and top and adc. Can mid too I suppose. I love morgana support, and she can go mid as well just by maxing W instead of Q first. Obviously there is annie.

The point of this is so that you can master a few champs as the role you like most (support), and that experience will directly help you use that same champ in the other role. So possibly try to master 3 supports that can sub in other lanes/roles.

Yea that's the whole point. If you master a multi role champ, you can go to another lane and still be effective rather than using a different champ for that lane for which you don't have as much experience with. That doesn't necessarily mean only play that champ but at least you have options and can perform at your best. Say you decide to master Karma (not saying you should but if you were to)... you can play her support all day. When you get tired of that, you can play her in mid or top. But since you mastered her in support, you are still going to do fine in those other two roles.

Of course playing top/mid is different from support, as you'll need to be able to CS effectively. Did you like Morgana? With her W, you can waveclear and get plenty of CS. Her innate spell vamp also helps make her a great laner while also being an amazing support. So you'll also want to keep in mind whether or not you feel comfortable CSing and trading in a solo lane with that champ. Personally, I love morgana and would go mid/top with her if I couldn't get support.

think of lp as..money. when you enter a game, you're spending your money (lp) to learn something and improve.

if you lose the game, you have successfully spent your money (lp) to learn something. (make sure you're improving, Always)

If you won the game, congrats you not only learnt something, but you won more money!! more money to spend on learning more things.

as you continue learning more and more things, the games in your current division will start to become easier and easier, granting you more money (lp) you get into your promos. maybe even passing them, advancing you to a higher division, where you;ll learn more advanced tactics.

dont be afraid to lose lp (money) you gotta spend some to get some! :D

Simple answer Yes, SPAM RANKED.

• A. You will shake the nervousness off. Being calm and relaxed will lead to more consistent game play. • B. Best way to improve is to play people higher than your skill level. But we can always settle for people at the same skill level. • C. I have been spamming rank since I hit level 30, I reached plat 2 last season.

Normal Queue just doesn't quench my thirst for competition.

If you pick a champion, and you have to read their skills to know what they do; don't take them into ranked.

Instead go into a custom, practice last hitting or doing common combo's (alistair headbutt pulv; j4 flag and drag; etc...)

Once you feel like you can hit those in a custom (shouldn't take more than a few minutes) then sure go ahead and jump into ranked.

You can learn the game playing either ranked or normals. However, you will only get better at ranked playing ranked. Normals have a much larger variety of factors making them not the best marker for your individual performance.

Get the game knowledge, know the champ, take them into ranked if you want. That's all you need. Knowledge. Champ. Queue button.
