Can i just make something clear...please, because some people really need to read this post...

Hi I'm Kurzy and I'm bronze 2. Most people who are either in similar elo or lower wont really listen to me but.. for all the people in bronze 4/5 or maybe even 2/3 that say they cant get out of 'elo hell' and that they need help, they need the answer to getting out of bronze.. let me tell what the answer is. PERSEVERANCE! I've been in bronze for TWO YEARS and you know what. I've realised that there's no magical answer to getting out of bronze.. the way of getting out is just learning from your mistakes and not blame everyone else because your just as responsible as them! so can i just say this for all the people who are stuck in 'elo hell' I'm in the exactly same place as you and im happy for the simple reason of im learning at my own pace and there's no point rushing because success comes after you fail time and time again. You people need to realise that maybe being in bronze is exactly where you suppose to be... That's a thought ... If you were a 'challenger smurf' as some of you say you are, then you would be in challenger playing with better players. Not with flamers, ragers, afk's...Your getting no where when you tell your team "OMG I WENT 21/0 LAST GAME WITH YASUO SO YOU HAVE TO LET ME MID OR I'M GOING TO REPORT YOU ALL AND FEED" and all you do is cry if you dont get your way... STOP! please stop crying and man up because your in bronze for a god damn reason.

I know not everyone in bronze is like what im describing but for the people who are like this

STFU CRYING YOUR BAD GET OVER IT BECAUSE ITS A GAME!

Rant over.... thanks for reading XD

Getting out of bronze is ez. Play smart, and have map awareness. Stop trying to all in people as soon as minions get to lane, get your damn cs and some items, THEN go ham. Ez game ez life.

You do realize you are still playing the blame game and contradicting your self, right? You basically looking for somebody to blame in bronze and you're just making sure you blame you, and you blame them for them selves. You know how people always say not to always beat up on your self as well or you also don't get anywhere, and yea this game is about playing as a team. Even if you learn you're bad and you fuck up often, you're never gonna get out unless you can find others who are also aware of their mistakes. THIS is why it is called elo hell. Because even if you figure it all out, you won't get out unless you can find that magical person, or you can carry every game. End of story.

i agree, i personally dont play ranked, was on a long hiatus too, but i knew a person who played really poor, like fed and lost his lane almost every game, he went from bronze to gold simply playing ranked only for a few hundred games. well, he obviously got significantly better in the process

so.. persistence wins i suppose

The real secret to solo queue is realizing your team will suck dick regardless of ELO. Every ELO is ELO hell.

The only 'strategy' in solo-queue is to not play if you're on tilt. I can win my games in Diamond but lose 8/10 games in Silver. Everyone sucks, nobody's good, it's all about not tilting - the game's 100% in your head.

The "secret" is simply improving until you play at a level that is better than Bronze, but most players "stuck" there want to think that every loss is the fault of the other 4 members of their team. Even if that were supposedly true (it's not), they should be thinking less about how bad their team was and how they could have done better that game, and implement that into their future games. Nobody wants to put in the personal effort into getting good, though, they just simply want to be good at the game.

Sure, there are maybe some players who could survive in low Silver that find getting out of Bronze difficult because they simply can't carry their team, but that just makes getting out a matter of time rather than just forcing yourself out through fantastic play. Since they're the only consistent element in each game, they will eventually get where they belong, and then stay there unless they actively improve.

Of course, that's also true for anyone who's in silver but thinks they should be gold, in gold but thinks they should be plat, etc. If you want to get higher, then you will simply have to play better.

True elo hell is high gold/low plat.

Who cares about bads when you have ragers and toxics all game?

I still remember my last season plat promos where a J4 top was spamming "gg" since minute 3, spams surrenders after minute 20, and then afks when he dies to a dive.

Then there's the jungle malphite walks up to enemy ADC, starts autoing them, we think wtf? then he ults backwards to run away, sells items and dances at fountain because "nub team doesnt follow engage"

Yet another game of 7-3 mid Morgana selling items and AFKing at fountain because died once to 3v1 gank. Team was something like 15-10, and our mid throws it because she wasn't personally carrying.

Got out of bronze 2 years back with janna/thresh got out of bronze last year with teemo/kayle now i main adc don't care to play ranked much anymore but I still enjoy the game.

Best way to get out of bronze (assuming you do actually not belong in bronze) is to practise one or two champs that are easy to snowball/good late games that are in a carry position. If you main sup you are at the mercy of your team. Best choice with current patch is probably adc. With recent changes making tanks really popular, main damage dealers are adcs. So if instead of watching your adc feed every game, you can play adc and not feed, you are much more likely to win. Personally, I play mid and duo with an adc, so the people with the potential to carry are confirmed to not be retarded.

The main problem in bronze is that people don't understand that the earlier you die, the harder your lane snowballs.

I can have double the cs of my lane opponent top but he knows this, which is why he refuses to give me the kill. Meanwhile my midlaner doesn't know this, ain't sh!it I can do about a 5/0 annie who pays a visit to top and instantly kills me under my turret.

Kapppaccino3/23/2015, 9:10:25 PM1 votes

This game is first about understanding the game. Understand your champions kit, enemy champs kit, and what you can and can't get away from. It's game knowledge. That itself should get you out pf bronze. Silver is more about decision making and mechanics :p what I mean is, if you understand your runes and masteries and how they compliment your champion, use that early advantage to get first few kills, then keep lane dominance and objective control, you'll easily be able to carry to gold maybe higher.

Nice thread, completely agrees.

"Elo hell" is more of a state of mind. It's like when you got to do something because you want to but you get so frustrated because someone else (or you think) is messing you up when you're the one who's killing the poor snail to your players. Learn to cooperate pls.
