Fiora-Dueling in Top Lane/Team Fights Help

Recently, I purchased Fiora . So far, I really enjoy her kit and I think I've figured out item builds, but there are a couple areas where I need some advice:

  1. What's the best way to trade in TOP lane? Because Fiora uses auto attacks to deal a lot of damage, I find my self getting caught up in trying to slap my opponents and I lose track of my own health. Is there a better way to trade, or should I just Q in, land a couple speedy hits, and get out? I find myself losing trades because the autos make me over commit.
  2. Team fights? Obviously, I'm squishy, but due to the nature of the powerful autos, I feel like the most effective strategy is dive, but then I die because I'm squishy. How can I deal a lot of damage and not die, besides just clicking my ult?

  1. For trading in top lane I find it useful to AA a minion, Q to champ, AA, E, AA, back off a little, Q, AA and retreat (possibly a w in there if they auto back). It gets your passive stacked to be able to regen from the damage you took, and you deal a good chunk of damage. You can also Q, AA, E, AA, Q back to a minion to get out. Always AA a minion before you jump in to get an additional stack on your passive. Your main goal should not be to just sit and trade, but get off small exchanges and let your passive heal you back up. letting you out sustain. (and of course all in if you know you can get the kill)

  2. For team fights I find Fiora to be better at protecting the carries at the start killing their divers, only ulting if I start to get focused, or if the enemy team is grouped up and I know I can kill their carry. Don't just dive in, you are better at cleaning up than initiating, and you are fairly susceptible to CC.

you dive with ur ult if ur fed, u can duel them all

and yes you trade with ur AA.... the fact that you cant watch ur health doesnt change that fact you are suppose to trade with ur AA ;/ get in close, pop ur steroids and slap em with ur giant toothpick

when i trade i E then Q AA W AA if they retreat and you are winning Q again AA back off, if you have your W try to get one more in. If you lose long fights but win short trades then E Q AA retreat W if they attack back and then Q to a minion if needed/possible.

for teamfights i generally stay back and wait for an initiate, then i go for carries or anyone separated from the group. I only ult if i notice they are focusing me or i need to kill them quickly without taking much damage. Fiora is much better at clean-up though, so if you cant instaburst a squishy just stay back and protect ADC/APC until your team deals enough damage for you to erase the enemies.
