Need help with Fizz

CrunchyCapn·7/27/2015, 11:44:28 PM·1 votes·949 views

I want to improve with Fizz because I think he's really fun and strong, but everytime I play him I end up having bad games very often.

My build is usually : item 3165 > item 3057 > item 3157 > item 3100 > item 3089 > item 3135 > item 3026 I don't know if it's good and I don't always do this since I aways try to build accordingly to the other team.

I'm having trouble with almost every matchup. The only champs I do okay against are the champs with and early even weaker than Fizz's (Kat, Tf, etc) However, if they pick a long range champ or an assassin like Zed, I lose lane.

Can you guys help me please? :)

Hey, fizz main here! (My name lol) Your build order seems fine but I personally dont go GA, I'd recommend rushing lichbane instead of morello. How I play fizz is i start flask, 2 hp pots, 1 mana pot. (Go 3 hp pots until you get a good grip of fizz, the mana pot is to get your mana back for a lvl 4 kill.) Then I'll go 2 dorans because this allows you to have more hp than your opponent I personally farm as best to my ability until lvl 3 or 4. Some fizz people try to get some poke in, but at lvl 4 I'll have a lvl 2 upgraded E, and my q and w. All of this should allow me to all in my opponent or try poking him very hard. As for matchups honestly you counter almost every mid laner. But it is extremely understandable that you will struggle as a new fizz player. I sure as hell did. You have to ask yourself this, how much damage am I going to take if I go for that minion kill? Does this champion have a better early game? Can I outharass this champion? You should NEVER go for a minion kill if you know you will take a beating. As fizz It's ok to miss some cs the first 2-4 waves. At lvl 3 most fizz players will poke, but i personally poke at lvl 4 since your E does a lot of damage. What I'll do is activate my W, Q them, aa 1-3 times. then E them. This should just about kill any midlaner if they're pushing hard, or come very close to killing him. Honestly I could always add you ingame and you can observe me playing fizz, or some pro. It's honestly kinda hard to explain how to be a perfect fizz. I promise it will take time to improve but you will get better!

Max W and rush lich bane. I've done decent with this. Or go top lane bruiser fizz and build something like item 3078 item 3143 item 3153 item 3111 item 3022 teleport ignite works but I'm always a little iffy on not having flash.

Trust me when i say to use this build, first and foremost, go top Fizz withsummoner 14 summoner 12 ,(your E will be used in place ofsummoner 4 . Then for runes go 9 Hybrid penetration marks, 9 armor seals, 9 ability power runes, 3 ability power quints. Then for masteries go for typical ap. Start with item 1055 item 2003 , then first back get item 3057 , second back item 3044 , finish item 3078 then get item 3144 into item 3153 thenitem 3111 thenitem 3143 item 3065. The boots and defensive items are situational in terms of ORDER. Use this build

Your build might not be the reason. Probably a lack of knowledge of matchups, and surely a bad use of your trickster.

Playing fizz, i personnaly go abyssal scepter first, buying negateon first in a tough matchup or blasting wand on a good matchup. If its AD i go armguard first.

I dont like morello, for the cdr i go cdr boots. I prefer to build path fizz starting bruiser and maxing W and finish with more ap. I look after abysaal, armguard, cdr boots and frozen heart. Its very surprise how much you dont need much AP to really hurt with fizz. I strongly suggest you a bruiser build if you arent very good yet at the game.

Alright, this is gonna sound like lousy advicd, but as someone who enjoys playing Fizz (yet hasn't played him in months, thanks to Ekko) I wanna help a little. One thing I did whenever I played as Fizz is play a bit passively and wait for a good moment to jump in. In other words, bait em into a situation where escape is a very unlikely for the enemy. Even if they flash, between the damage you did when you rush em, your DOT damage and Ignite you pop it, you should do enough damage to kill them. And even then, your jungler should be able to pick em off assuming they're there.

Again, sorry if this is 2 bit advice. I'm not that good at teaching...

I'm no god fizz player, but i don't like mana regen on fizz. I rush for sheen after a flask+3hp pots, or if i'm rich enough, a needlessly lg. rod. Sheen into lich (if i can see a kill), then sorcs, zhonyas(build before sorcs if don't build lich), rabadoodles fedora, then void. The sixth is up for grabs. I like GA if im carrying and its obnoxious and hilarious to watch two ppl dive you and you hop around with your e and q, zhonyas for cd, hop around, run around, die, hop around, and then surely one will die rofl. I max w, because i like the dot and if the person is melee, its an easy lane. Zed is annoying but seekers helps and if you play passively he will make a mistake, and then you can kill him. It's a hard matchup thou. I poke with my q+w and stand and auto, wait for a spell to dodge with my e, and then keep autoing until w runs out. your dot always wins short trades. Lvl 4 you can usually get a kill, 6 its practically guaranteed with jg help
