I always have the hardest time laning against a good heimerdinger. I know if you pick Ahri or a long range mage that counters him but when I play Ahri I spent most most of my time oom killing his turrets and then pushed into my turret and then up end losing it. Can I have some advice for laning against him.

Ever tried running Syndra into the match up? She's one of Heimer's hardest counters simply because you can push away, outrange or throw his turets at him. Other Mid lane matchups that are good against him are Varus, since his aa's and q largely outrange his turrets and you can pretty much free farm them with auto's. Also, Vladimir can pretty much use his turrets as a free healing source.

For toplane stuff like Sion or tryndamere do well against him. Sion can shout his turrets at him, tank them in all ins and even if you do die you will very likely still trade 1 for 1 because of sion's passive and heimer's lack of mobility. Tryndamere can just press r and crit him 5 times in a row and tank his turrets and tower and run away like nothing ever happened.

I always just pick Garen into him. Farm safe and when he makes a positioning mistake charge in and show him why his three turrets don't actually make that area safe for him. It's a bit more risk/reward than a long range mage, but if you get used to the risk that reward can snowball the entire game.

Most bruisers are good, however keep in mind while you're not actively fighting you need some fantastic sustain. Pick someone who usually builds lifesteal or has built in sustain and become the potion master you always wished you could be.

I have lvl five master of Heimer, and to be completely honest, in all the time ive played him I really haven't come across a way to counter him well. I guess you could try to take out his turrets really quick early game, then get a really early gank to help you snowball.

Well that's how Heimerdinger is in lane. He forces it into a farm lane and punishes aggression, and ganking him is very risky.

With ahri I suggest not wasting mana to clear the turrets. Hit them with the return Q if possible, or shoot thro them to poke, but never focus your resources to them.

Personally I like to pick velkoz into him. You have enough long range wave clear to take out his turrets while pushing the lane, and your q deals enough damage to poke him down. You can even q a turret to have it bounce into him.

Pick Xerath instead of Ahri, and win!!

But yeah I'd try freezing the lane to the best of your ability don't bother wasting resources on clearing the turrets unless you can hit the minions/enemy laner at the same time.
