What to start on Yasuo vs flask laners

Just a simple question: on Yasuo when you go up against champions with a weak early game that start flask, do you go dorans blade+1 hp pot or long sword+3hp pots? I'm trying to get better on him by playing on my smurf while I get better at using sweeping blade to force early game trades, but I find that I have trouble doing this against flask opponents because they can out sustain me. Does a long sword start fix this? Or does the health and life steal from dorans blade still make it a better start?

Long Sword 3 pots and one lifesteal quint fix it. Also try to all in flask laners so you can recall early, play hyper aggressive properly at level 2 with ignite.

3 LS quints + Doran's blade start vs every normal lane Armor Quints + Doran's shield start vs strong AD all-iners (Fiora, Riven, maybe Zed)

But honestly, Yasuo outscales almost everyone, if niggas wanna play a sustain lane you should just let them.

honestly i would take doran's shield if i'm against ranged cancer that i won't be able to out-trade early

To be frank, I would just let Yasuo's fantastic Waveclear+Scaling catch up. Unless you're against something like Nasus, there aren't too many champions that outscale Yasuo with the same amount of CS as him.

Anywho, this is a time where learning how to abuse cool downs and timing your own wind wall is key. If you can time your trades/fights for whenever their main abilities are on cool down, they can't damage you back much and your shield can usually ward off most of the damage. If you can time your Wind Wall in such a way to block projectiles if it's that sort of matchup, you can avoid taking damage outright while they need to heal all the damage you just dealt to them all off. 3 good trades from Cooldown Abusing and well timed Wind Walls ultimately could automatically put you in the lead in lane.

Depends on the match-up and how you want to play laning phase. If you're looking to play super aggressive and trade often, you might want to start something like long sword + 3 pots or cloth + 5 pots (against AD champs) so you have more sustain from pots. If you're not going to take alot of dmg from trades, starting dorans blade is the best option. I honestly think that how well you do in lane depends on how you play in laning phase, more than your starting items.
