Gragas mid AP tank

Hey guys. I wanted to ask if you guys had any tips on how to build Gragas into an AP tank viable enough for midlane. I'm a Tank support main and i also play jungle tanks. I want to get into other lanes so I can be flexible. As you can tell tanks is what i do best. I'm not very fond of being squishy so I'm looking for tanky mid laners and Gragas was one of them that i found. Swain and Ryze too maybe. But right now I want to focus on Gragas since i'm not a very good mid laner and would like to practice with just him. So how would I build Gragas into an AP tank to run mid lane? The current build I have in my item set for him right now is... -(sold for WotA)Doran's Ring -(rushed first)Rod of Ages -Sorceror's shoe w/ Alacrity -Iceborn -Abyssal sceptar -Will of the ancients -Liandry's

I haven't seen a Gragas mid since he got reworked. His early power levels got significantly reduced to the point that he's not worth building straight AP anymore. I personally wouldn't recommend playing Gragas mid unless you're duo-queueing with your jungler; the amount of cooperation required to pull that off now would be pretty daunting in Solo-Q. Even then you'd probably have quite a challenge.

I like gragas as mid or top and his ult is great for team fights and druken rage keeps him playing

He doesn't really benefit from spellvamp. I find that Gragas is mostly good as a strong disruption tank during teamfights. I'd recommend something closer to: item 3158 or item 3020, item 1056, item 3027 item 3025 item 3151 item 3065 item 3143 or item 3158 or item 3020, 2xitem 1056, item 3136, item 3025 item 3065 item 3151 item 3143 item 3135
