Varus build

Hey guys,

i've been watching that Giants vs Fnatic game and i'm curious on Steeelback build for Kalista. As i can't and won't be able to play Kalista, i was thinking wich champ can have the best use of this same build.

Varus came to my mind.

He would benefit so much from BT-Botrk-Ruunan Ik how much IE is the current Meta, and thats probably why Varus isnt played that much I would even had a Frozen Mallet as the 5th item for the defensiv item. Yoomus or LW somewhere in the build whenever there is armor to pierce... This build is thought for kitting and surviving for ever (like that Kalista did on the game!) I'm aware you kill the Crit potential (current meta) but i feel it can work on Varus because of his W steroid.

Its a thought guys, be kind on comments, what are your thoughts

IE is still pretty standard on all marksmen except Kalista, you wouldn't go a full game without it.

Reason Kalista doesn't really use it in most scenarios; her passive scales off of AS, IE doesn't provide it and is too expensive to be building something that doesn't compliment your kit as well as it could.

Despite that Varus does have utility, he doesn't have the same ability to kite as Kalista does, therefore I don't see that much AS stacking working out very well.

honestly I don't think varus benefits from that much attack speed. Since he has no escapes it's pretty risky to just stand and auto people. A pretty common varus build is full AD for the epic Q damage. item 3031 item 3035 item 3072 item 3006

and if you want an attack speed item try getting a item 3142 in there.

It's sort of similar to a sivir playstyle where you hang back and poke with your Q until you can safely get into AA range, then you pop yomuu's and clean up.
