Ideas on how to boost win loss ratio?

Naturally, the answer to that is simply to win, but I suppose what I want to ask, is how should I go about winning more games? And what wins games specifically?

I'm currently silver IV with an under 50 percent win loss ratio (gotta win 15 more in a row to get it to 50. That's a pipe dream). I still get around 19-25 lp per win and lose more or less the same amount per loss. My main role is top, but can fill for anything if needed. (Except maybe jungle. I'm incredibly bad at that.)

I don't always wreck, but I'm finding it more and more an occurance that if I win lane and all others lose, I lose the game

Also, that if I win lane, but if the opposite occurs — everyone wins, I win the game.

I find it jarring, that a single player like me cant do anything to change the game. But it's not a case of i literally cant do anything, it's just that, I dont have enough knowledge. I want to improve!

Any top and mid tips for a silver that wants to get gold V? Also, general carrying strategies are appreciated. I mostly play irelia, gnar, and garen (when hes open).

Lowly bronze here, but when you win your lane do you roam and put pressure else where on the map?

A good teleport play to bot lane can change the game for an adc and support. Even assist the jungler gank the other lanes. It's about putting pressure else where with the lead that you made and helping pass that along to the other members of your team helping them catch up or get a head.

Don't fret about having to win 15 in a row. If you play consistently better on a fundamental level, you will find that you will start to win more and it will even out rather fast. Sure you will lose some games, but as long as you use those games to learn from, you will get better and climb the ladder.

Before I was able to climb out of 600 Elo in Season 3, I had 15-30 more losses than wins in my Normal que. I knuckled down and worked on my gameplay and was able to turn that around to being positive 20 wins rather quickly. After that I started Ranked again and shot up to around 1100 Elo.

That is actually relatively simple to fix. Since you like to play Top, you should be bringing Teleport. Teleport is one of the best Sum. Spells to help out a teammates losing lane. If you can assure yourself a winning lane, ie. ahead in CS and trade potential, then you can start to look for cross map plays with a minimal downside for you. I would suggest looking at High Elo streams or VoDs of pro games and watch how they use teleport to either snowball one of their other lanes or pick up a failing lane.

Another good idea would be to learn to Jungle. Junglers have to pay attention to a lot of Map Objectives and the flow of the game. Good Jungling requires a good knowledge of when to gank, farm, or press an objective. Learning how to do that can really help you make calls for your team and can help you move into a leadership role in your games. That is prolly the biggest thing you need to do in your games, take an active role in the leadership of your team. It is usually better for everyone to follow the same bad call, than to split up for two good calls. I'll see if I can dig up some videos to help.

Checked out your match history. I've four thoughts. 1: Mid elo games are settled through team fighting not 1v1 dueling, but almost every item build you have is built for dueling. Irelia doesn't need that BOTRK second to be effective in a teamfight, its usually more effective to build a single damage item then go full tank, unless you are snowballing ahead. Damage builds are also very expensive and require a ton of time farming, instead of working with your team.

2: You are hurting yourself in the long run by being that guy who only plays mid/top in ranked. A lot of games you will piss off your team from the very beginning of the game that way.

3: Your champion pool seems very shallow, containing only toplane bruisers and midlane assassins. its a good time for bruisers top right now, but you should be able to play a top lane tank and a mid lane control mage as well. If you are still learning champions, there is no reason to be practicing all of Ahri/Zed/Yasuo at the same time.

4: Last one is easy. Upgrade an early yellow trinket, and fix your teams' vision issues for basically free. You can place 20 wards (1500 gold value) for a 275 gold upgrade without even trying very hard in an average, non surrender game, if you pick it up early. item 3361

Winning 15 games in a row is far from impossible, Though it might be unlikely. I have won 20 games in a row before and I have lost 15 in a row. As a Top main myself I can give you a few tips. Number one is in lower Elo's SOOOO many people forget how much minions hurt, If you want to trade be aware of how big their wave is and how big yours is. Having a large wave around you can turn the tides much harder then ignite if people ignore your minion waves. Secondly ward their jungle if you can, Lane pushed top stuck farming at the tower go ward red or blue if you think you can safely do it. Vision on the jungler is valuable if you use it, knowing where he is helps your jungle, helps you know when to be aggressive, and when your teammates are safe from ganks or not. Lastly teleporting to get kills in other lanes is great way to change the game but it's pretty hard to pull off well in solo Q. Don't be scared to use teleport to keep a lane advantage as long as their aren't other pressing objectives (Dragon mainly). If you do plan to help a losing lane make sure you make it clear to your bot lane hey I'm going to tele in here in a bit ward here. Ping and tell them to start the fight Before you tele in. Nothing worse then giving up top tower for nothing and not getting dragon. Other then top specific tips some of the best advice I can give is to take responsibility for your losses. You can't get better if it's always everyone else's fault you are the only consistent thing in solo Q. I also think you should tone down on the amount of champs you bring into ranked having three main champs for your main role should be plenty to avoid being left with no one. Same for other roles, Knowing how to make an impact with your main is going to do more then counter picking. You'll better understand what fights you can and cannot win and how to make your teamfights count. You also should spend some more on runes and rune pages and have more specific tailored runes for these mains you use. Lastly have a game plan before the game starts, How are you going to win? Split? Protect the adc? Engage on their's? Win your lane or be the beast your team needs in a fight? Having a good plan of what you're trying to accomplish in a game makes a big difference. Sometimes I have no intention of winning my lane as long as I can farm up and not feed I know ill be more useful, and sometimes I want to go ham win my lane and split hard. I try and decided that before the game starts. Obviously it won't also work so be flexible if things are not working out but its worth having that plan. You seem to want to get better and I'm sure you will if you put time and effort into it. You'll get out what you put in just like anything in life. Good Luck how there hope you do well in Solo Q and hit that 50% win rate you're looking for!!

The easiest way is to lose less. That means increase your dodging when you see a bad matchup in champ select. That has increased my ranked win rate by about 20%

Got silver 3 now. Went on a 6 win streak. Mostly miss fortune, and a tristana game to boot.

I find myself working with my team more now, though. I encourage my tanks to get tanky instead of buying a second defensive item. (myself doing the same if im in that role) Had a gnar get a five man ult, and I used MF R and we absolutely demolished them.

I almost find myself leaning towards the adc role now, though. I'm pretty good at kiting, and I like how miss fortune can win a teamfight with one ability. 8D I also enjoy tristana. I used to main her once upon a time. Sadly its hard for adcs in the current meta. Need lots of beef in the front, so tanks are crucial.

I'd like some criticism. I dont think I upgraded trinket in this game. Haha. This was not a stomp either, even though i did fine.

Its a replay.gg link. If anyone knows how to use that, can watch it, and give tips at minute marks so i can review. That would be great. I might take up adc a lot more now.
