Getting out of silver and into gold (hopefully)

So I used to be a adc main and when i got placed into silver 3 I was pretty excited! after playing a few games i quickly realized that I needed a lot more work and so I took a break from ranked and played a whole lot of normals. Now I'm back into playing ranked but I have become more of a support. And while I have won a few games now, i also lose when im paired with bad laners. Is it possible to make it out of silver and move up by playing support?

Yes, you can climb out of silver by playing support. So, I'm not participating in the poll because there is no correct answer to it: all roles have an impact on the game; it is a team game, making all roles necessary as parts of the team.

Your builds look good, as well as the amount of wards you're putting down.

Your runes could use some work, in my opinion. You have two hybrid-style pages, one AD page, and one tank page. You should get rid of one of the hybrid pages, and for the other hybrid page use all 9 hybrid pen marks. On your tank rune page, get rid of the AP quints for some sort of tank glyphs. In my own tank page I have health per level yellows and flat armour quints, which is just my preference, but the flat AP quints are not as useful on a tank as tank quints are.

Other than that, I suggest looking at your gameplay and watching gameplay videos and guides. Your positioning may be off or you may be warding ineffectively, but I can't see that from match history alone.

Hope this helps a bit. GLHF!

Last season i got out of silver spamming almost nothing but Garen top and Leona support. You can absolutely climb out of sjlver as a support main, some things that helped me...

When possible, ask your adc in champ select if they prefer a specific support or if they play passively or aggressively. For passive adcs or adc with weak early game like tristana i go with alistar if the team needs a tank or janna or sona if we are tanky already.

For aggresive lanes leona, thresh, karma are all great (paired with champions like draven who cant help but push lane anyway.

Also take into account the enemy support. If they havnt picked it yet pick someone you are comfortable with, if they have then pick your champion accordingly. Did they pick thresh or leona? Dont you dare go sona or nami, 1 hook and you're dead. Did they pick karma or annie? Sustain champs work against them since they rely on poking you out of lane so DO go sona or nami. Once the enemy support is out of mana its iust which adc can farm better.

Diamond 5 S4 and S5 thus far. Jungle is the only role that can impact every enemy champion there is for the first 15-20 minutes of the game. Think about it. Even if you're playing top, you can affect 4/5 enemies (all but opposing jungler).

And yes, as a support you can climb. I hit d5 this season playing Thresh support and Pantheon jungle.
