Got Demoted to Bronze 2; What Am I Doing/Thinking Wrong?

Title says the gist of it. Lately it feels like I never do enough. When we win I feel that it was only because other teammates did better, and that I did the lowest damage to champions or didn't initiate enough. And whenever I lose I feel like going up to the next person who irritates me and beating the living shit out of them with a cane or something equaling bone breaking. Then I calm down, and still don't see what I can do better. As ADC either the lane goes poorly, or I'm told I didn't farm enough, or that their entire team dive-engages on me. I have problems alternating between farming and ganking/roaming as top/jg/mid, and supp can't always help the team. Either I farm/push and the team dies because of a bad fight, or I come to help and I lose my lane because they're split-pushing. SO I'm currently feeling like I'll never hit Gold because there is something fundamentally wrong with me in a competetive sense (it HAS to be me, since blaming the team OBVIOUSLY does nothing to make me win more), I don't want to main champs I don't like because I have to in order to boost LP, and I REALLY don't want to hear people telling me to give up or watch streams for learning, or learn different champs, or anything that would irk me to the point of getting the 2 week ban for death threats or toxicity. SO go ahead, look at my stats on LoLKing/op.gg/Match History and tell me that there's no direct answer for my problem short of duo queuing with someone better or quitting because I am a hopeless mediocre fucktard.

It looks like you have been focusing really strongly on your ADC play, particularly devoting your time to Kalista, which is a very strong pick right now. You're doing this practice in normals and team builder, which is very good. I know that you were a jungle main for a long time, using Vi as a main, but it looks like your recent ranked experience has you working out of the top lane. Is this a role that you feel comfortable in? Do you have a pool of champions that you feel strong on that you can carry from this position? From what I see, you used different champions each time that you had the top lane role in the past week. This could be a bit of trouble if you don't have someone you feel solid on, but have to play in that role. I am not completely comfortable in that role, myself, but if I did have it I would be using a laner that I would normally jungle with (like Malphite or Xin Zhao), since I feel so much more comfortable with those champions. It's probably a good thing to look at (expanding your top lane role) if you are feeling a little anxious about your ranked play.

Good luck on your climb.

What I've been told:

Climbing is really fucking easy. All you have to do is watch over your games and decide what you're fucking up. Then, stop doing that. Easy. Replay.gg is a great recording service that will email you your replays, or if you'd rather record your own screen, I prefer Xsplit Gamecaster for its simplicity.

You seem to be aware that you have a tilt issue. To reduce tilt I listen to music while I play, have jokes for my itemsets' names, and joke around with my teammates. You're tilting pretty hard right now, though, so I think a short break from playing is needed.

While you take a break I recommend watching some of unswlolsoc's ADC guides. I don't play much ADC, but when I did I found myself doing very little damage. My issue was that in laning phase I was poking the enemies fine, but in teamfights my positioning was poor and I was not attacking as much as I should. Watching those guides helped teach me where to position in teamfights, and to keep my damage up. I imagine that the guides will help you considerably, since I noticed in your match history that you've been building a defensive item on your ADCs before your last item; with ADC a good offense is a good defense, so I think you should build your 4 offensive items plus boots first, then a defensive item.

Also, in your match history, and I see that on your ADCs you build item 3087 a lot. It's not a bad item, but item 3046 is a better item for the late game, and a lot of bronze and low silver games go late. (Most of the games in your match history were over 30 minutes). So, I am of the opinion that you should build item 3046 almost all the time on your ADCs in bronze/low silver games. Once you get to mid silver or higher, you can start choosing between the two items based on the situation and the results you think will be there.

With respect to your Kalista build, you may want to consider building IE, BT, or BotRK first in solo queue. I find that item 3085 is better on her with a coordinated team or a team with lots of AoE crowd control, allowing her to survive laning phase (with an item weaker than BF sword and BotRK) and to build up lots of stacks on multiple targets in teamfights. Just something to consider, but you may still be more comfortable using Runaan's.

Hope this helps!

your KDA is good, your overall winrate is good, your championpool is good, your laning is good. what you need to do is stop forcing yourself to do anything that is not completely safe and free. i know when the game looks bad you feel like having to "do" things but thats the opposite of whats good.

also, stop taking the game so serious. i can tell from your account and stats that you do decently ingame and i think the most important thing you have to work on is your mindset. this doesnt mean you cant improve your gameplay, but thats not priority here.

NOOOO!!! Fuck man, you hit a bad streak.

These other guys have good advice but here's mine just based on personal experience.

The bottom line. Stop comparing yourself mentally to others, they aren't you. You aren't gold yet, you aren't silver, you're bronze and that's not a bad thing or good thing. Rank has no tangible meaning so stop thinking about it. Just think about your current in game state and what can you do to improve the game's situation to win.

I'm finally silver 4 coming close to silver 3 promos. You know how I climbed personally? Brute force. I stopped playing normals almost completely for awhile and my ass fell like a rock to bronze 5 NEGATIVE 20 or 40 LP or some shit like that and freaking 100's of ranked games. I wasn't embarrassed, I wasn't mad, I was just new to ranked and the unique strategy involved in playing solely for objectives.

Keep asking for tips, keep checking guides, but most of all keep your head up because honestly Bronze 2 isn't even all that bad. I played vs a couple of bronze two guys a lot early this year that are now high silver and even have an in game friend I've been tracking who went from bronze 3 to gold 2 since I friended him and he's STILL climbing! Guy is always giving me good advice and most of it is honestly in regards to staying calm and not tilting.

Mental state, acknowledge your opponents are prob pretty good and respect them. Don't beat yourself up basically.

Good luck on the eventual climb!!
