im not new to the game, but im fairly new to the tank role. i like the more damage oriented tanks, like shyvana and voli because of their ability to 2v1 in normal situations. who are some tanks similar to those two?
PS: im going to use them mainly in the jungle, no udyr pls
I like Trundle a lot, and if you're OK with taking a more true-tank role, Malphite is really good too. (EDIT: This is in the jungle.)
Amumu, Rammus, and Maokai all have pretty great damage for tanks, but the champions you list are more like bruisers. If you like Voli and Shyvana I'd say play Vi.
So, I've been dicking about with tanks for a long time, and I also really do like the Jungle role.
Malphite has become my main champ, and he proves to be sufficiently tanky, but able to put out a crapton of DPS when needed.
This morning I actually wrote up a guide on how I like to run him top lane AP, though I'm sure something similar would work in jungle--going first for a Spirit of the Wraith or Spirit of the Golem, depending on your preferred style.
He's a ton of fun.

well voli's main thing is low sustained damage. shyvana's thing is dealing percetage damage by marking her target. it all depends on how you build your champs. for example, you could say you're playing as a tank but you're building a bruiser in your item build.
