Any tips for Jungle?

Hi, I've played LoL for a month and a half now and I'm at level 16. I usually play top, and I want to start trying other roles. Recently I began trying to play jungle, and I suck at it. I've tried with a few different champs. I've tried using Warwick who's supposed to be a good jungler but I went 3/5 and we lost the game. I can never clear fast enough and I end up two or three levels behind everyone, and I take a lot of damage from the monsters so I have to recall early. I have looked at may different guides but I still can't improve my gameplay in the jungle.

Can you guys provide any tips for me? Seriously, even the jungle Poppy did better than me.

Jungling well requires a full rune page and masteries. Until you get 30 you can't jungle optimally. WW should be fine all though he isn't considered all that strong right now. I used Xin Zhao at early levels since is clear is strong and his ganks are powerful. WW usually wants to farm till 6 and ult for ganks. Do you have a jungle route? That might help with your clears. Other than that, look up some guides.

  1. You need rune page and masteries for jungling. I suggest you buy Armor seals asap. BUT REMEMBER only buy 3rd tier runes.

  2. Optimal route for jungling is following - (always start on bottom side, and keep the other one warded, unless you're somebody like fiddles who is super reliant on blue buff) If starting on the red buff side smite krugs, do red buff, then do blue buff if you're playing sustain champs then continue farming or gank. On the other side smite gromp do blue buff and then smite red, you will have enough hp to gank or continue farming.

  3. Always farm in the jungle, as a jungler you're either farming or ganking early-mid game until teamfights break out. Don't forget to do krugs

  4. Play champions who have sustain because u don't have rune page yet, Xin Zhao has great sustain and is great ganker.

  5. Do scuttle crabs, they give vision, gold and experience.

  6. Keep dragon warded or ask bot laners to ward it for you, if enemy jungler is dead or their ADC and SUPP are dead do dragon. (DON'T FORGET TO SMITE IT LAST, so nobody will steal it)

  7. You can also kill enemy jungle camps, gaining experience and denying enemy jungler's

Good luck on the fields of justice~

Jungling is very hard to pull off prior to level 30 because you don't have full runes and masteries.

Check out probuild.net and see what rune/masteries/item builds the pros use.

I am by no means a god jungler but feel free to watch my videos and copy what I do. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2EZm50wNGmfJal7IHM_b8Q

There are lots of great "how to" jungling videos and articles online. Be sure to check them out, they help a lot. But the most important thing is to practice, a lot. I sucked at jungle for a really long time but I have gotten much better by trying out junglers to see which ones fit my playstyle.

Attack the small monsters first if you are playing a single target damage champ like Warwick.

I know man l am level 16 to and i love the jungle.I started playing jungler from level 14 and I had the same problems but here is what I did: 1.Buy armor ruins even tire 1, they will help you because monsters have only basic attack and this will save you a lot of health and tier one ruins are very cheap to buy. 2.If you are new to the jungle you should buy champions with a lot of sustain in the jungle like fiddlesticks. 3.Dont rush to gank first learn to clear the jungle and then learn to gank, and learn the jungnling routs. 4.If you are having trouble to clear the jungle dont be afraid to ask your allies for help but make sure they leave before they take your buff, gold and exp. 5.And the most important is to practice mostly in custom games. Thats ali for jungleing under the 30th level.

For an easy and somewhat fast clear, try Shyv or Xin to get a feel for the jungle.

The jungle is possible without runes, it's just hard, I still wouldn't waste IP on t1 or t2 runes (Really feel like t3 should be baseline and available from the start.)

For builds, buy orders, masteries (and once you get there, runes) check out probuilds, but don't use it religiously, form your own opinions, but it does form a good baseline. They also teach you what they level first, etc (reason I mention that is because on first glance you would think Twin Bite to be level priority for Shyv and Three Talon Strike to be for Xin.)

Try Nunu costs 450 and he is the only one who can jungle w/o runes or masteries and have an overall all around solid kit for everything.

Thanks for all the tips guys! I will definitely try the suggestions you've given me. I think when I jungle I'll try Nunu or Xin to start off until I get to level 30. Thanks again!
