Malzahar vs. Fizz

Hi I'm a Gold IV NA solo queue player. I main Malzahar in the mid lane. Now I've been working on facing champions that are my "weakness" per say such as a player withitem 3140 QSS,Annie Annie, Galio Galio, Fizz Fizz etc. I'm really having trouble finding the breakthrough to beating these champions. Lux Lux is now a problem too with her spark and poke.

Can anyone offer some advice on how to beat the 3 aforementioned Champions? Those are the 3 biggest problems I've run into and I really don't know what to do, to improve my gameplay into outplaying them.

Annie can outrange me but getting harass off on her seems to be my problem. Galio I know I need to wait for his runic shield to stop going so I don't heal him for the damage I just gave. Fizz just e's, then jumps to me whenever I try to farm. I can run but I've taken so much unnecessary damage I have to back after I've run out of potions. I usually rush rod of ages EVERY game with him for the sustain and ability power. My build usually looks like this-

Malzahar item 3027 item 3151 item 3116 item 3020 item 3135 item 3089

So with that being said. Please help.

Annie can be a hard champ to play vs since her burst is pretty crazy. The key to this match up is trying to bait out her stun. The best way is to force her to use her abilities on the wave in order to farm. Her wave clear, without using spells, is all aa biased so by pushing with your E you can force out her stun on the wave or she losses a bunch of cs. If you are ever trying to trade with her always use your Q first to silence her other wise she will just stun you and you will lose the trade.

Lux is an annoying champ to face but over all she has relatively low kill pressure. The key to this match up is tracking CD on abilities. Her skills have rather long base CD and high mana cost so keep track of her mana to know when you can push up to play aggressive. This match up is more a battle of attrition then anything else. You should use your E to push the wave to have some fodder to absorb the bind. Other then that her Q doesn't do that much early without her being able to get her passive proc. This should be a farm lane so just concentrate on getting cs and try to get chip damage on her tower.

Fizz is a strong all in champion but struggles when he is put behind. The key to this match up is the laneing phase. Fizz being melee should help you out. Use your E aggressively whenever he tries to go up to cs and stand in the wave. The reason for this is to force him to take minion agro if he ever want to trade. While his E makes him un-target-able he will still take damage over time abilities such as your E. If he tries to go in use your Q on top of yourself to silence him then hit him with your E. Most of the time this is enough to win you the trade. Other then that try to zone him out of cs by freezing the lane in front of your turret.

Galio this is just a straight ap counter so there isn't much you can do. The best thing is to farm it out and try to use your voidlings to do damage to him. Don't forget that they do AD damage and scale with your armor pen so getting multiple voidlings on him will do a surprising amount of damage. Other then that try to stay back of his ult range and silence him if he ever tries to ult your team.

As someone who used to main mid malz, I'll let you know what I did. I would build Rylai's first just for a little more tank early. Second I'd build Deathcap or Liandrys based on the tankiness of the other team. Third I'd build the opposite of what I built second or a void staff if they've already started stacking magic resist. After that point you have to build according to the other teams strengths and weaknesses. Mana management is important when you build this way but you have more early sustain than the roa build imo.

Replacing RoA with Abyssal might help you a lot in surviving the burst from those champs, also would help you snowball faster. Zhonyas too instead of Rylias?
