Help me get higher ranked

I usually main support and I main Sona, Janna, Leona, etc. I have a problem, only when I play ranked... This is my first season in ranked I played Sona, 5 times in a row in normal and performed very well, won every game. But when I start playing ranked... I don't know, top or/and mid (when I lose) feed their lane and that's it. Of course it happens that bot lane or I feed... But around 80 to 90% of loss are because of top or/and mid. I always played with silver-gold-plat IRL friends since I started and they taught me how to play, so I feel a bit better than people who make mistakes I see in youtube videos. *And I always mute everyone when game starts, cuz so toxic this game. The problems I saw are: -Lost lane doesn't safe play -Goes in not warded places alone

So, what should or could I have done to help me team in these kind of situation? My role is to help my adc get fed (from what I learned), so what am I supposed to do?

*I ask this because I feel like youtube videos aren't very useful

Your role is not limited to getting the ADC fed. You must peel against all damage threats, CC enemy engages, engage yourself at opportune times, maintain vision control and even solo kill enemies if given the chance.

To lessen the pressure on mid for example, put some much deeper wards for them and possibly roam there if you're a good roamer like Blitzcrank to set up a kill etc. I would only do this if you're pushing bot and winning it, you don't wanna leave your adc unattended unless you have very good vision between bot and mid.
