We all wish we could be in an elo where we didn't have to tell our teammates to upgrade their trinkets half an hour into every game.

+1 because no matter how many times people make "upgrade your trinket posts," they are somehow always relevant and necessary.

depends on what you upgrade it to, and how well you use it.

i always have a dilemma playing support. Do i upgrade to the pink ward trinket or the red? the red in theory is better, but i only kill like 5 wards per game. its almost better to have a free pink ward on hand.

I always tell my friend to upgrade the greater stealth totem trinket but they never do, so damn frustrating.

A lot of times I just plain forget to upgrade. I go to the store, buy my items and completely forget about upgrades. Lel.

The deeper psychological barrier to buying wards that you will never generally overcome is a shamefully noob belief that the player is safe as long as the scary enemy remains unseen in the dark. Warding threatens to reveal the scary awaiting ambush. It literally is a subconscious fear of imminent failure that prevents players from warding to avoid failure. Those who ward are the ones who have the will and fortitude to win, and are confident in their ability to deal with the enemy. That is why warding happens more often in higher tiers.

100% agree with this.

I am still Bronze5 (mainly due to the extreme amount of trolls found in the darkest depths of Bronze) but in normals I am consistently put up against high silvers, golds, and sometimes even plats. I cannot tell you how much my normals MMR spiked once I started consistently upgrading my trinket and constantly warding. Sometimes I feel like a cheater, the trinket upgrade just feels too damn good to be true.

I was skeptical at first, but upgrading trinkets really is worth it! Oh crap I just noticed baron is unwarded after I warded my tri-brush top lane... good thing I spent 250g on upgrading my trinket because now I can also ward baron :D Just an example. Seriously though everyone, I'm unranked and I still upgrade my trinkets (in the games that I remember) But i'm getting better at it haha :) Save a life... either yours or the teammates.... also... DON'T TRY AND SAY YOU'RE THE ADC AND YOU DON'T HAVE TO WARD. If everyone would ward.. then we could make the rift a brighter place.. with... wait for it.... VISION <3

as a support main, this is my biggest league pet peeve. When the whole team is lvl 12+ and I have a sightstone and my upgraded red/pink - but NOBODY else has an upgraded vision trinket... Start out asking nicely for the team to help me ward.

I always find it funny that it's ok to rage at a support for not getting 3 wards / sightstone. but you somehow aren't obligated to help the team either.

Honestly, while trinkets were intended to trivialize warding for lower brackets.. I am constantly pissed off by the amount of basic trinkets going as far as to the end of a game. I think they should just force upgrade if you try and leave base with 250g or make it free and automatic upgrade at 9. Honestly trinkets have caused me to lose faith in humanity as a species as I can only assume that since upgrading it is such a no brainer and yet the majority below gold do not, that the majority of the human race must be mentally deficient.

I'm either far ahead and don't even need it... or I'm far behind and I need to spend that 250 toward something to help me catch up.

I'm just pushing for everyone to at least use their trinkets; particularly the ADC.

Yeah, I can see how many wards you use in a match- you're given a free ward every two minutes and you place FIVE the entire game?

BUT MUH BUT MUH BUT MUH 5 - wait wut? You can buy 5 health pots, but not a trinket upgrade... At level 17...
