Question About Life Steal and Spell Vamp.

So, I think that life steal affects AA damage, and spell vamp affects spell damage, but does life steal also take into acount on hit magic damage from a passive (Fizz and Kayle for example) or from items (item 3115 ). As a side note, would building BotRK be viable on an AP focused on hit or sated devourer build? I was looking at Kayle 's ratio's and she has some decent AD scalling; so if the life steal took into account the on hit damage it might be viable on a devorer build since it goes so well with devourer and the attack speed is nice.

Thanks for the help.

It does indeed work, but it's not optimal. I main Kayle, and I DO occasionally build BotRK on her, but it's almost exclusively when the enemy has 2/3 tanks, or one massive tank that needs shut down. The life steal is negligible. Yeah, it helps a little.. But it doesn't proc off her E damage, which is what kills many of the minions, so it's basically just some LS on your 120 AD or whatever you end up with after BotRK.

But like I said, against a few tanks? Totally Viable. Having trouble with that Sion/Volibear/Malph team? Not anymore!

No. Life steal is limited to auto attack, physical onhit effects from champions kits, bork, and abilities that apply on hit effects.

Also warwick ulti and a couple other exceptions.
