Fiddlesticks help!!

I have been trying to get into fiddlesticks. I love his abilties and looks. I manage to pull of some pretty good moves but overal I SUCK big time. I have tried following builds from moba fire, prenuilds.net but I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. He is an extrememly squeshy character and by the time i get close enought o do anything 3/4th of my health is toast> so I am looking for someone to teach me how to play him and what I need to be focusing on buying.

My example build that I've been trying is a build called The milk build on moba fire. thank you all for your help

i have also tried fiddlesticks, i personally don't like him but i went legendary thanks to some feeding. So do you jungle him or lane him? I think that he is one of the easiest early game junglers because of his drain. Just drain, clear, drain, clear. Also, ganking from brush with your ult can be devastating. Just build ap and a defensive item like the randuens. Just silence, drain or silence, ult. He can be very powerful when fed and can dominate in fights due to the huge ult range, not as far as xeraths though, obviously. Of course, if you dont like him you can always refund him, if you have any refund points. i would master him in the jungle. When you ult in lane it is very obvious. It is your choice if you want to keep playing him or quit on him. He is a nice champion to have although you may like to master a different champion. For example, i bought azir who was 6300 ip. A lot. But i didnt like him, i wasnt as satisfied as i thought i would be. Just keep trying fiddlesticks, you will soon make up your mind and either master and main him, or move on. Zhonyas is your best friend as fiddle, Rush that even before you finish your jg item. Rylais can also help with the squishiness and fits in well with his kit with the slow. Abysal scepter can help if there's a lot of ap in the enemy teams comp. The biggest tip I can give you is positioning. Fiddle should not be in the center of a fight (unless you ult in, but that's why you rush a zhonyas). You need to make picks with fiddle and really make conscious decisions on whether you should go in right away. Have patience with him. Find interesting ways to use his ult I.e. From behind raptors wall into lane, the corner near gromp into lane etc. fiddle is also great for baiting. Low health? Make the enemy chase you into a bush. Silence, fear and drain him while a teammate does some devestating blows. His kit is definitely very niche, just practice on him and he will do great in those niche situations. He won't do great with every team comp so watch for that.
