I was "being a jerk"????

I posted a reply to a thread last night this player was complaining that his account was Parma banned. He didn't include why he was perma banned just that he was. My reply was then removed by riot saying I was being a jerk. The part of the comment they said was jerkish was simply me saying "if you did something on purpose to be banned they usually don't unban accounts any way."

Are you serious righr now?? I was simply sayimg exactly what I have read many many users write. Like I know I shouldnt be but I'm actually really really anoyyed by this.

Ignore it and keep doing it. I say far worse things on most posts, and say worse things on these sorts of posts. You just had a particular moderator who had nothing better to do with his time at the moment he saw the comment.

on the new wardens thread you can see a post with an image saying ass or tits and the moderators answered in a nice way meanwhile they deleted my post for discrimination cause i said xin zhao has an asian spear in memes and games

Yeah, the moderation as of late has been dreadful. I had a post removed the other day when someone asked why they were banned, they showd their chat log and I said "you talk way too much during your games/spamming, you flame your teammates". They also talked about not being able to climb to which I told them that their CS was at a "Bronze level". This was apparently "rank shaming", but I was simply stating a fact----if you're getting 90 CS at 20 minutes that is definitely Bronze level.

The moderation on the Boards needs a significant overhaul.

I posted something in reply to someone and I said "This is bordering on a personal attack" to describe his post, and a moderator thought I was saying that I was bordering on a personal attack and deleted my post. It was just a misunderstanding but it was more of a laugh to see them misinterpret it.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with us. We are currently in a bit of a rough transitional period and have only been on the job for a couple days now. I agree that the action taken against you was a bit excessive and I will mention it to the rest of the team.

That being said you were still in the wrong with a comment like that. We have noticed some tendencies growing in Player Behavior that we don't approve of and are trying to crack down a bit harder there. I am sorry that we didn't handle it better, a warning may have been more fitting rather than a deletion of your comment. I do want to make it clear though that future comments that fall into the same area will continue to be dealt with accordingly.

I had a post removed for saying the guy they were arguing with was a troll (past experience with him) and told "Hey man stop trolling"

I see some of the new Wardens are working out as intended.

Honestly, having a forum section for Player Behavior at all is inviting in this sort of thing.

There are handfuls of threads about generally discussing behavioral phenomena in this game, or debating ways to improve the system, but the vast majority of threads these days are folks complaining about their ban. And when somebody is posting logs full of toxicity and hate speech, it's hard to respond in a way that is "positive".

I believe there was a post a bit ago asking people to stop replying such things, although even then it seems to be on the tame side.

Forget it.

There is a reason why I don't do serious discussion on the NA boards any more. The whiteknighting and political correctness movement here has made the boards a "safe space" where everyone is a precious flower, and no unsupportive thing is ever to be uttered.

Come to the EUW boards, moderation is really good over there =)
