Kha'Zix lane

So just wondering how effective kha'zix would be in the mid lane, I know that right now hes favored in the jungle but I havent actually followed his changes since season 3 when I used to play him mid lane. So Im just wondering what the optimal skill order is now, pretty sure they nerfed his w this patch? Also his itemization; is tear still a good choice when laning or would it be best to skip and go for raw damage?

Feel free to add any other tips for his laning, although as I said I played him a lot mid lane season 3 but any help is encouraged.

Better as a jungle but can mid if need be, though there are much better options.

Max W and Evolve W first still, the nerf didn't change that. Evolve E next and Q last for a massive power spike. Grab a mana pot, rush Brutalizer and Ionian boots.

You can play him into soft tops and a few mid match ups. Kha mid was very popular not too long ago. If you are against range you just wait for their CDs or for them to get out of position and jump on them then walk over to the bush and back to ur side of the lane. Repeat till they die.

Its important to pay attention to the jungle though when you lane as Kha. If you and your jungle can catch someone out and get you a kill it will make laning much easier.

btw i had a game where i was against kha mid and i stomped him as teemo even though i didn't even stay with minions?
