I was watching Dyrus play Sion and learning to improve myself. I noticed his leveling order is R>E>W>Q. I've always done R>Q>W>E. Am i building wrong or is this leveling order specific to this match up? His team is Sion, Gragas, Janna, Corki, Kassadin. Enemey team was RIven, Fiddlesticks, Kog maw, Leblanc, and Thresh. Like I said in title, can someone give me some advice on what's happening here?
The reason why he was leveling his E first is because of the match up. His E denies Riven's engage and it also allows him to push hard and harass well. If he leveled Q, Riven would just stun him or knock him up and cancel it.
he levels up E first because is much easier to hit an E than a Q so he is able to trade correctly on top lane. In all honestly unless you are building AD your E will outdamage your Q anyway.

He leveled E first because hitting Riven with your Q is virtually impossible. E can poke her down and make her not want to all-in you.
