I know QSS is one of them but that helps if you survive the ult... but is there anything else?

I know a zonyas can but thats AP.. and im sure people would wonder "What the teemo, is your build?" (Instead of devil I put... yea nvm not funny...)
don't worry, it's always worth it if you kill the teemo.
If you are playing Kog just buy the Zhonya's. With a defensive Zhonya's + Triforce he deals absolutely ludicrous amounts of damage since his W is also AP scaling.
Other than QSS on someone like Kog'maw, you'll be relying on your teammates and trying to position so that he needs to take a massive risk to get to you. If you don't have a dash of your own or flash up, you're going to get hit by him and it's up to your team to help you out.

Wait until teamfights and laugh your ass off when he can't kill shit because of all the heals/shield/utility spells that people prepare since his ult is so telegraphed.
kog maw's a bit difficult and he's really weak to assasins but generally what you're going to want to do is play it safe. If your field isn't covered in wards try to get an upgraded yellow trinket, blue trinket is great if you have others to provide wards for you chances are wherever you hide he'll get to you so you need to try to stay in positions which would require zed to use his abilities to get to you that way you have about 5 seconds to kill him before his shadows back up. when he ults onto you run or flash away from the shadow kite him with your slow and bork.
In other words he's going to get to you and you need to make this as difficult and dangerous for him as possible.
