How to play evelynn?
How do I build it? I know the items are not always set in stone. My guess is some sort of machete upgrade into cinderhulk or something like that, boots, wards in between, but what core items?

buy what ever item you can. all works. spam q q q q q q q q q q q and win. easy picy
on a series note you probably should go triforce full tank. what jungle item you buy dose no mather all 4 works. but remember if you go chinderhulk you cant be sneaky near minions and monsters

You need damage to not get ignored. Due to how stat growth works this season, she is very easily burst down in the mid game if you are not heavily snowballed. So you will in most games need to build defense, at least until you are confident you are good at avoiding focus so you can play around being squishy.
Armour and magic resist are more important than HP, due to ult shield.
Best damage items are sheen items, on hit effects like , and CDR if you are not building full damage.
I always go wtih 
first, and try to gank hard and fast. Like also mentioned, on hit effects are incredible with her E.
