So I stopped playing ranked completely early in the season the amount of bad games and toxic ppl in my games was immense so I just quit. 4 months or so later (today) I decide to que up. The results were not good. Ik everyone says of im so much better than my division but in my case I truly think I am it is just that I have to play more ranked. Yet I don't want to because of all the damn trolls. I want to prove I'm good but normals is so much more peaceful. Take a look at the game i just played. Graves dc's every two seconds, Fizz had 60 cs at 17 minutes. I couldn't cs because of my team feeding and me needing to roam. I was basically the only lane getting ganked cause all the rest of my team was feeding without ganks. I got Gold 5 at the very end of last season without playing many games.

This may seem like just a rant, but I'm asking for ADVICE.

I am about to say screw it and become a yasuo main b/c I think he is the most fun champ in the game.

You might actually be a silver player right now. Getting placed in Gold V last season may have been generous. It may have been close. Unfortunately, you don't have a big pool of information to build from. You only have a grand total of 47 ranked games played. That right there tells me that you don't really know what your skill level is at. Normals can't really judge where you are in the grand scheme of things (especially if you have a mixture of all levels of summoners on both teams). Ranked is a better way of getting a balanced battlefield and seeing where you stand against your peers. Add into that, you said this was your first match in 4 months because of bad games and toxic people, and that just proves that you need to get back into games and get your form back.

Yes, you had some interesting builds on your team, but this game is about how much do YOU bring to the game. These were your promos. You have to take control of your own destiny when you are coming into games at the silver level. Sure, they had two people smurfing in the bottom lane, but the Gangplank that you were laning against was extremely fed. What could you have done to prevent that? Was he allowed to roam/teleport by not being pushed under his tower? Did you have any effective teleports to turn fights around in bottom lane or to help your team secure any objectives? How was your vision control during the game? Did you upgrade your trinket? With almost 10k gold, you only have one completed item and your boots. Was there a better way to build your items to make a bigger impact for your team?

If Yasuo is a champion that you feel like you can carry and do so well, then turning him into your main champion could be an idea for carrying yourself to a higher division. He has a lot of strength and a good, balanced kit. I have seen some excellent Yasuo players take control of a game and just dominate. But, I have also seen some really bad ones get dumpstered. If you are looking to climb, you'll want to look at more than just "what champion should I play?" and put your mindset into "where can I improve my play from the last game". You'll find far more success in the future if you are looking for ways to improve yourself.

Good luck in your climb.

Trailblazer Shyvana? That just makes my brain hurt.

If you want to be a Yasuo main, go for it, he's perfectly viable as a main champion and he's in a pretty good spot right now.

Furthermore, yes if you want to climb out of your elo and truly belong elsewhere, you will climb out with more play. I stopped playing ranked for a while, came back and decided I wanted to climb, went up a division in 6 games.

My mentality was what needed to be switched to accomplish anything. I focused on doing the best that I possibly could individually, but were there a couple games that were unwinnable? Sure, but you're going to get that, just focus on helping your team the best you can after you've done the best you can personally in lane, and if you can pick up some shot calling, do it, it helps a lot.

I'm not ashamed to stroke my own ego and say that my shot calling is the only reason we won the final game of my recent promo series. 2 Flawless baron calls and a perfect call to steal baron with a game changing team fight to follow won the game for us. You'll also get people that won't listen and/or think they know better, and that's just going to happen sometimes.
