Finding My Fit: Champion selection

The following is a response I made recently to this webpage guide: http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/build/finding-your-fit-champion-selection-195871. It follows a template placed near the end of the guide itself.

Current most used champions: Might as well say N/A, but currently doing well with Diana Mid and Quinn ADC in Normals; taking a break from Ranked while trying to find my bearings again.

Everyone else either handles horribly or gets outplayed/played around (example: Nasus - I can farm stacks on him well, but the enemy team often focuses on other areas of the map, winning faster than I can join in or split-push. Or they kill everyone else in a team fight, then burn me down.) Other champions I once mained/felt comfortable with: Nasus, Garen, Sion, Vi, Sejuani, Annie, Janna, Leona, Vayne. Not really any champions for Mid in the past.

Commonly used champions of teammates: N/A; Solo-Queue player here

What roles do I prefer: No solid preference of role now. First it was JG (Vi, Sejuani), then it was top (Nasus, Garen, Sion); I always had the capacity to support (Leona, Janna) but I prefer a solo lane compared to bot. My role was formerly judged as someone disruptive and high-damage with survivability, but now the verdict is to just find easy comfort champions that I can handle. I want someone easy that can crush games, even if it sounds like I'm lazy, searching for a magical easy answer, or only care about winning and not playing the game. I also tend to ward heavily in games, often the #1 ward placer in a game.

If I have jungled how did it go: As Vi, I loved it. Then she got slight nerfs and, more importantly, Cinderhulk happened. Now I can't dive teams and assassinate anymore. I'm bad at peeling with her, and I'm not comfortable with early ganks because I don't want to get outplayed and/or killed trying to do so. Sejuani was better for teamfights, but then she kept getting banned.

Common problems with champ select: My champions getting banned/picked, and my champions getting counter-picked.

Champs/abilities I prefer: Safe laning phase, damage for killing priority objectives/champions, and ease of play (so I can focus more on the game and less on what/when/where/how do I do this). I focus more on trying to survive in a teamfight than laying out auto attacks; therefore burst damage over auto-attack sustained. Focuses more on objectives and picks than on teamfights. Wave-clearing and gap-closing are pluses. Mobility, too; if it can go through walls, that's good. If i'm jungling, then I want to have some power behind me before i feel comfortable ganking; prefers farming reliably over ganking with risks, unless I have something that locks down the target hard. Turn-offs in a game: Tanky enemy teams/frontlines with lots of CC; falling behind (I don't rage about it to my team, and often mute my team so that I don't tilt from the very likely raging coming from them); very concerned when I lose as someone I feel comfortable with, likely to tilt after 1+ losses (I've been told in other competetive games like MTG that I'm a very sore loser; something like Munchkin or Cards Against Humanity that focuses on story/fun over goals is nothing to worry about); the feeling of not being able to do anything except ward and trying to farm because I lost lane hard.

So CURRENTLY, I love Diana mid as a main.
