Discord - Free voice and text chat for gamers

Hey! So first off I'm not a paid sponsor or anything I'm just a guy who has been introduced to something great. I was surfing the team recruitment boards when I found a post saying that Discord was required. I looked into what that was because I was not sure and sure enough my mind was blown. This app has similar qualities to TeamSpeak where you can create servers and send people links to invite them, BUT it's easier to use and looks amazing. It doesn't crash your ping like Skype does, AND the sound quality is amazing. The best thing is that if you really don't want to download app they have an in-browser client that works as well. I recommend this app to anyone that plays with a lot of friends and would like an easier way to talk with them. They are working on a couple things with the app like in-game overlays, and when these changes come out I will be very excited to see them executed. I hope this helps out some people out!

If it's as good as you're making it seem, then I'll be sold to try it. FPS and Latency lagging from team chat programs is not fun.

Curse Voice is essentially the same thing.

EDIT: TeamSpeak is good for an organized gaming community, Curse Voice is good for impromptu small team games, Skype is good for when your girlfriend is on vacation 2 states away and wants to show you her tits have a nice conversation.

I'm biased to them because their MOBA, Fates Forever, lead me to League. It's a shame they decided to abandon it but at least they're still active.

I personally use Razer Comms when i play with friends. It doesnt affect our pings or fps at all. But I agree that skype is too heavy of a load.

EDIT: I like your name OP
